January 6: Shape cut out of element

Hope you can see the writing and the cut out is obvious enough
 
I'm Pretty Sure I Really Didn't Get This Challenge...I Struggled With It Quite A Bit...I Did & Redid My Layout A Bunch Of Times...I'm Not Sure If This Is What You Wanted Exactly For This Challenge...My Cut Out Is A Star To Coincide With The Multiple Stars In My Layout...I Wrote Down The Lyrics To "Let It Snow" Behind My Photo & Placed A White Star In The Upper Left Corner But You Can Only See Half Of The Star & That Is By Design...I Just Hope You Can See The Star...I Really Worked On This For A Long Time To Try To Get It Right But I'm Not Sure I'm Satisfied With The Results...If It Doesn't Comply...I Don't Know How To Fix It & I Will Probably Have To Start Over Again With A Completely Different Layout...Either Way...If It Doesn't Comply Please Let Me Know...Thanks...

Here's mine! This was a challenge for me, but I love how it turned out.

 

Another new challenge for me!
I used the kit, "Snapshots Moments" for this page. I started with a template from that kit as well and changed it up quite a bit.
I think I should have made my journaling text a different color as I look at it now, LOL. But I'm overall happy with the page. Yeah!!
I had to make my text smaller for the cut out to show up better. I also rasterized my text so I could cut my shape out of the text. When I cut to the journal paper it was not very obvious, but once I cut down to the background paper it really showed up. :-)
