I used the option B4. I know it's not mandatory but I used a template I had in my stash to help me with the shape.
Sure hope I didn't sneak too much outside of the fourth.... kept moving things closer and closer. I used C3 for my design.
I chose C, thank you so much for the fun. My take, full credits in gallery. Wishing you a very beautiful day !
I had so much fun creating this layout! Thanks so much for this awesome challenge! I used D1 and flipped it horizontally:
Jenn @jk703 let me know if I did right, I think I did, but when I came earlier I saw some people saying it would be difficult.... in my program cutting these shapes is dead easy, so maybe is because Photoshop is more complicated? or I got it completely wrong LOL anyway, here you are LOVE YOU!!!!!
is this because you print 8x8? @Angela Toucan ... if you keep Craft Artist saving at full resolution 12 x 12, it will still fit for you to print, is still a square.... and t5he quality of printing is far better, also, which I noticed yesterday when I went to the gallery, the pages look a lot better 600x600, I think it looses when you have them smaller, and I think the very big ones are too much for a web look.... anyway, what Jenn wants you to do is to divide A SQUARE in 4 bits.... am I right @jk703 ? I imagine she will have no issues with you going 8x8 instead of 12 x 12, but once again, your pages will look much better here if you go a bit bigger than what you are now Huggzzzz
When I first started scrapping all the paper scrapping books I'd seen were either 8x8 or 8x10. So that's the size I went for, and have stuck with it. Also hubby doesn't like me printing anything, he prefers things to be digital. The 8x8 digital files take up less space than the 12x12 too, so that is what he prefers. Space is always an issue ... I also find that if I work at 100% view on my software then an 8x8 page fills my screen nicely - so what I see as I scrap is what I get if the page was ever printed." I did this one at 12x12 for the challenge as requested. I'm uploading to the gallery at 600x600.
@Angela Toucan I am sure Jenn would no object if you want to do 8x8, the thing here is to divide a square into 4 pieces..... so, it makes no difference for Jenn, when she answered that it has to be 12x 12 was to people who scrap on vertical 8x 11.5, I am 99.9% sure if you want to go 8x8 she will be more than fine
I'm a total nerd with this stuff, so feel free to scroll on Technically there is no such thing as a standard 12x12. Most people print at 300 DPI, so we typically see canvases at 3600x3600 px (12" multiplied by 300 px/DPI = 3600 px), but in theory, you could make a 2400x2400 px (what you use for your 8x8) and print it at 12x12 at 200 DPI. Conversely, you can print at 3600x3600 px as a 8x8 at 450 DPI. All that is to say, that your 8x8 (2400x2400) could also be considered a "12x12" and still fit the original guidelines
