January 30: Clean and Simple Challenge

I went with the first approach: the graphic lines. I hope this applies?

it was fun to channel CZ and do a minimalist page!

I think she would have liked these yellow alphas, camera flair, and woodgrain ampersand

 

I love clean and simple and minimalist, but I hate no template!

 

Absolutely hate not being able to use a template. I never end up liking those layouts. but here it is, graphic lines style.

I've met Cathy a few times and have a signed book from her. Such fun memories! When I think of her style, I always think of the clean lines and things in bound boxes! Bold photos!

So this layout has a funny story- I started it with the idea of the "where I stand" challenge, but then realized I couldn't use an old photo. I decided to then alter it for this challenge. I ended up deleting over 20 elements to pare it down to a more clean/simple style and added a couple paper mats to add more graphic lines! That's definitely NOT my normal style!

Thank you for suggesting the graphic lines style. I've never liked leaving a lot of blank space on my layouts. But I don't mind using few elements. Big pictures and lots of journaling with just a few elements is great!
