January 3: Mood Board Challenge (Inspiration)

Here's my mood board...don't know if it's what you meant. Collected some colors and textures around my house that I like. Made a color palette using a brush on a small white background and sprayed dots of colors picked from the objects I collected

Here's my moodboard... I had the color combo since a loooong time in my inspiration folder, and I suddenly realized I had a fabulous kit that matches it! LOL I ended up not using the quote on top "It's time to turn the stars back on" but I love it and I'll keep it for a future LO!

DAY 3 - MOOD BOARD (INSPIRATION)
So honestly, this was very hard for me. I've never created a mood board before, no idea what I was doing. I went with things that I liked as soon as I saw them. Probably not how it's supposed to go but hey, I'm a novice. It's taken hours and hours today...wow.

My page was done with Bella Gypsy again. As you can tell I'm working on my Disney album.

And here's my page. I found the color palette first. Then I found the book quote, which reminded me I wanted to scrap about the books I read in 2017, with the help of Goodreads. The journaling is all the reviews I wrote on Goodreads throughout the year. Finally, the layout of books inspired my layout design.

This was SO much fun! I had the best time going through my Lilypad file for papers and elements that went with my moodboard!
Here is the moodboard:

I used the colors, the white hexagonal tile, the imperfect wood against white, the foliage/fruit from that photo and the clear cover over photo with a word idea from the "dwell" magazine cover.

My mood board

...as you can see I adore warm colors, stripes and florals mixed, patterns, patterns, patterns and I'm a wee bit quirky! I have described my tastes as a cross between Mary Englebright, French Country and Shabby Chic. :huh

I had to buy a kit for this one - thankfully it was on my wish list and on sale! Woot! Woot!
