January 25: Use photo as background

Maddox is so much fun and so precious. BG is his one of his watercolor explorations. I did a sketch of him in one of his pensive moments. Originally I had a border on the BG- which I like much better and am saving for printing.

But to follow the rules :idea2:bk I did an alternate:

1-25-19 Use Photo as a Background

My daughter is the subject of this layout. For her end of semester (Dec 2017) project for one of her classes, she did a series of photos on strong women who have overcome mental or physical abuse. It was a very powerful project that I was honored to have helped with (she got an A+ on it!). She used lines out of various Kesha songs from her Rainbow album for the project. This particular line reflected a time back in 2013 when a boyfriend she had dated did a real emotional/mental number on her.

The two smaller photos are from a lighting class October that the students had to take photos of each other in a studio with various lighting.

The elements are from A.Pennington White Out (BYOC JAN 2015)

I took the background photo (with the Chinese characters on it) many years ago during a trip to Epcot. We were watching a movie about China; I had my new digital camera; I was taking pictures from the movie. Somehow I got this double exposure - a boat going down the Yangtze River and some Chinese writing. Call it "Serendipity."

Hope this is ok. The photo used as the background was dark on the one side, I used the burn tool to darken it up even more (no papers were used).

@bcgal00 - your slow scrap yesterday inspired this layout. Thanks so much for the clustering tips!
