January 23 - Playing With Paper Strips

This is another challenge I squealed over when I saw it. I come from a sewing background and find playing with paper as much fun as playing with fabric. And boy did I have fun :-D Somewhere along the line (probably when I spied LBW's clipping masks on sale) the idea of petticoats got stuck in my head and I just had to run with it. (Had I more time I would have found ways/templates to add ruffles and such to the strips, but Time Is Not My Friend these days (nor my hard drive), and I just needed to get this done.

And man was I happy when I found the quote? You betcha. And not just to use it, the other quotes I found make it seem like a must have for my bookshelf.

Anyway. Don't mind the rambling.

This Was A Really Cool Challenge!...I Just Don't Think To Do This Kind Of Thing For Backgrounds...I Do A Lot Of Blending Usually But I Really Enjoyed This Challenge...Choosing Just The Right Papers...The Right Sizes...The Right Placement...I Stacked Mine To Create My Background...I Didn't Think I Would Like The Effect Of All Those Patterns Together...I Thought It Would Look Too Busy & Cluttered Behind My Photo & Elements But Surprise!...I Really Liked The Look & How It Gave My Layout A Different Feel!...Bravo!...Great Challenge!...

*As Per The Rules Of This Challenge-I Used 7 Paper Strips For My Background

*For My I Wanna Be A Unicorn Layout-I Used:
