Hope this is ok. I was scared when I read this. But the steps were very easy to follow. I used the picture below, and sniped one side of it.

Great challenge, love something new and different... really helped me scrap these pages as I didn't have a kid's art kit

Submitting this one for the challenge:

I cropped this image to use just her painting for the mosaic:

I wanted those smooth, blendy edges, so I just gave up and downloaded Photoshop.

Which, probably not a wise move because oh man I finally get why so many people swear by it. I have a feeling I'm going to be bummed when the trial period is over. Boo.

and um, some of us, well me anyway, swear AT it, lol. Enjoy! I used to use Gimp. Tried PS CC, rarely used it the first year, even letting my subscription drop. I got determined, took lots of lessons/tutorials, renewed it and haven't looked back.

I used the photo of my son as an astronaut (main photo) as my mosaic photo background. My old program did not make the mosaic very blurry ( it was a very sharp mosaic pattern) so I had to blur it.

Here is mine, cool technique, I think I might like to play with it some more, but not enough time. Maybe a torn edge on the mosaic, maybe increasing the soft light layer to make it a little softer, maybe smaller geometric.

And the original photo (similar to the inset, but a little different)

Here's my original photo (also the same one in the layout).

Here's my layout:

This is such a cool technique, but like @tinkerbell1112 said, I was disappointed that these are the max size of the mosaic pieces that you can do in Artisan. I also used the mosaic on the background paper at a very small setting.

I agree with @tinkerbell1112 - Artisan needs more options for this technique. Might play around with it more another time. I am pretty happy with the result. I love the ones here with bigger tiles!

This one didn't horrify me as much as the Dispersion one. LOL Kinda am likeing how it turned out and know I will be playing more with this technique in the future! Thank you all so much for introducing these techniques!
