This was a tough one but I am always drawn to kits and collection that has anything with magic, fantasy, fairies or/and woods so I picked one of my many favorites - The Mystical Forest collection by A Whimsical Adventure:
I've used Brave New World by NBK-Design. I love this collection, because of the bright colors, the artsy goodness, and the creative tools that Nicole has included.
I chose Rachel's I'm Somewhere in Between because I love the black/white/yellow color scheme and also because when it released I totally connected to being in between -- trying to figure out life without my husband.
Both the template and the kit are absolute favorites of mine. The Daily Life templates are so versatile and I've used them quite often including many pages of a Disney trip. I fell in love with the Bella Gypsy kit when it was released because it had so many papers. I love a large selection of papers in a kit especially when I'm doing a project that I want to coordinate but not look exactly the same. This kit works since it has over 50 papers and 90 elements (not to mention all the various colors of alphas!)
January 21 - Favorite Kit I can't choose just one kit. It's like asking a mother which child is her favorite! I have to say that this kit is one of my favorites "right now". It is the perfect mix of simplicity, of pretty neutral colors that can match with masculine or feminine layouts, and the templates make it easy to get started with a page, which is typically my hardest part.
My connection to the kit, Homey, by Ninigoesdigi is that it was the first kit I bought when her store opened, along with Ume (bought at the same time). I loved her florals, colors and patterns. This kit went perfectly with my daughter's outfit.
Thanks for hosting Jennifer! I connect with Confection Affection by Kim Jensen because I love sweets, I love conversation hearts, I love the bright colors and my daughter just made her very first conversation heart cake!
I've been scrapping all my Christmas pictures and definitely connect to this kit! Thanks for the challenge!
Connection to the kit : I wasn't sure how I could pick just one kit so I decided to check my past scraps credits to see which one I used a lot and my Lost & Found Collaboration with Anita came up. I realized that I had several pages made with it. I think the first connection I have with this kit is its color palette. I guess it's just colors I feel comfortable to scrap with and I can come back to again and again. I also feel a connection to the theme of "loss". I lost my dad almost 3 years ago and today is his birthday (January 23rd). Even if I still feel sad to have lost him, those memories made me smile today and it feels nice. Thank you for the inspiration
I can find any number of reasons to connect to a single kit, and, like you, I find it difficult to use just one kit in my layouts. But as a go-to, anything by NBK Design gives lots of options. I was drawn to using this kit specifically because of the word art and the neutral paper choices provided a great canvas for my photos and for adding different layers.
My kit connection was the photo from the snow hike we did this week- this was a wonderful wintry kit to document it!
Just a heads up to anyone I haven't commented on up to this point, I have seen your posts but am not feeling 100% tonight so am staying off my computer right now and will comment in the morning.
Thank you for the hosting Jennifer. I connected with Soco's Happy Garden somewhat because these are my favorite soft colors ... on the other hand, I am always amazed at what happens in the garden every year ... from seed to beautiful plant/flower, tasty vegetables, herbs ....
Loved this Jennifer! I connect so much with this kit, the theme (for me it's travel but it is applicable to so much topics) and it has my favorite colors in it. Love how the word art can be interpreted in so many different ways. And it has cameras, one of my favorite things
Does it need to be a whole kit or can it be an element pack from a kit that is usually scrapped on white?
Thank you for the challenge! I'm here - catching up. I kinda giggled when I read the challenge. I knew immediately what I was going to scrap. The morning before I had looked out my window, and I my thought was "Apricity" - and I snapped a photo. I don't think I've ever before seen something, and immediately associated it to a scrapbooking kit. But - here's the layout now, with a photo taken with this exact kit in mind.
Fun Challenge Jennifer. I chose NBK's Counting because of its grunginess, gorgeous colors, and beautiful brushes.
I love Rachel's artistic style and I love using her kits to get better at doing artistic layouts. Sea Spray was an auto buy for me because I love the color palette. Plus I thought it would be perfect for the photos from our Alaskan cruise.
