Great challenge! I chose 'Stationery Addict' by Mommyish, as I was packing paper today and it totally connects with what I am up to!
I realized it is so hard for me to just use one kit. I have a folder of my most used elements and grab from there. And I love to mix designer's kits since I love clustering and flowers. And designers tend to work in the same color tones so flowers from other kits usually blend. I have loved the colors in this kit for the longest time and its been on my wish list forever. When my DD got this onesie for Christmas, it gave me the perfect excuse to purchase the kit! And on the same hand, it's a hard kit for me- probably why I haven't purchased it before now- I grew up in a house with depression so it's hard for me to embrace kits that maybe aren't cheerful. And the word art in this kit- hits a little too close to home.
Yes, me too, you should see my latest layout's credit list....if that's not mixing & matching I don't know what is.
I once was there too. The key I think, is to pick a big kit/collection like a store Collab, collection from NBK Designs, Bella Gypsy or like you have Just Jaimee just to name a few. My love of Just Jaimee & newer love of Bella Gypsy is kind of where this challenge originated from.
My favorite kit is always the latest one by Just Jaimee!! There are always so many goodies that I can use. I also love the Navy, Gold and Pinks in this kit
I picked the This + That kit because it was the first I bought at the Lilypad. I figured I'd challenge myself with something I haven't used in a long time.
That was an interesting challenge. I loved this kit because of the watercolor papers and the gorgeous colors!
I chose A Whimsical Adventure's Somewhere In Time and connected with it for the vintage feel and colors and the theme of time.
Here is mine. I love ALL of Bella Gypsy kits but they great School Kits so I did this one using Extra Credit. I love the bright colors and the dark blue going with my shirt in the picture.
I purchased this kit a while ago and knew the theme AND color scheme would be perfect to scrap the photo shoot invitation pictures from my boys first birthday. Thank you so much for this fun challenge!!
I love the fun, bright colors of this kit. Plus my favorite scrapping theme is anything relating to nature and outdoors. This photo (that I love) is of my husband and I while we were out geocaching during a nature walk. January 21 - Kit Connection (Find Your Wild) by angbrey posted Jan 21, 2024 at 9:25 PM
Our family loves Disney and I fell in love with the Project Mouse kits from our very first trip! I find myself digging into them for non Disney layouts too! The Cars kit has presented itself on may road trip and pinewood derby layout too!
I just discovered this kit because of the "String-a-Ling" Challenge - which led me to "Stay Curious" by Rachel Jefferies. (I'm kind of a big RJ fan anyway.) This kit, though, really spoke to my own inner drive to keep learning and growing and I think I would have bought it for the lion with the book! It was perfect to scrap this photo and the associated memories that go with it.
I have a connection to many kits that I've used over and over. However, I bought Go Wild by Bella Gypsy Designs for my 1st MOC, 6 years ago. I used it a lot that year and have gone back to it for many of our vacations over the years. It's a great kit for outdoorsy layouts. This picture is from September 2020. I felt like the paper with the arrows going up and down was perfect to symbolize the year.
Credits: Fernweh Collection Bundle by Rachel Jefferies and Anita Design Kit Connection: I'm currently obsessed with mixed media . . . and Rachel Jefferies delivers every time. But the icing on the cake, is when a "clean style" designer is paired with a mixed media designer. This just perfection. I love the colors as well as the theme for this collab kit.
Living in Southern California and only 25 mins from Disneyland, we started going when Taylor turned 1 and got season passes. This kit Project Mouse Beginnings has been a go to for a lot of my layouts. The colors remind me of Fantasyland and the castle with the blues and pinks and I love all the pins. So many memories have been made with this kit and this is the first page I just created for my DL album.
