Hello, hello! How is everyone doing this MOC? Are you keeping up with the daily challenges? Or are you behind? If you are behind (I am!!) no worries, you got this!!! One of the things that I use 90% of the time to make a layout is a template. Templates help me create layouts that look great and save me tons of time. They are probably one of my favorite and most used scrapping tools. That being said, I am beyond thrilled to be hosting what has always been one of my favorite challenges Combine Two Templates! Two of our wonderful designers have been kind enough to create templates for us to use for today's challenge, so big thanks to Sara Gleason and NBK Design. Combining templates is an awesome way to put a new spin on things you already have in your stash, or a fresh way to look at templates you may consider purchasing. It can also help you create a page that works for your photos and journaling. It's a great way to challenge yourself to use things in a way that you might not have previously considered. For this challenge you need to combine the two templates provided and create a new template from them to make a new one page layout. You can twist, resize, turn, shrink, move things around... the only requirement is that we need to be able to CLEARLY see that you have used BOTH templates in your final layout! NOTE: You must use the two templates provided and only these two templates. Check out this post for a more detailed tutorial : Tutorial on Merging Templates from the Learning Pad! If you are new to templates or just need a bit a refresher on how to use them, Cheryl has an awesome video tutorial that will get you started. Just click on the link below to access it. VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING TEMPLATES Here's the page I created with these two awesome templates. I used Just Jaimee's Storyteller BYOC September 2021 collection and Storyteller BYOC January 2022 elements. Here are some lovely pages from the Pollys that will help inspire you! One from @bestcee one from @JenEm @ArmyGrl @bellbird @Iowan Official Challenge Rules: 1. Combine the TWO PROVIDED TEMPLATES into a SINGLE PAGE LAYOUT. 2. You must use only the two templates provided in this challenge. 3. The TWO PROVIDED TEMPLATES must EACH be easily recognizable in your layout. General MOC requirements Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: 1. Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). 2. Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. 3. Posted in this thread. Please copy & paste the Share BB Code so we can easily find your layout in the gallery. People can comment here too, if they wish. Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). If you use product from other stores, your pages must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers). Happy scrappin! I can't wait to see all your pages!
Other Polly LOs are not showing. And big thanks to the designers for providing PAGE files for both templates!
This should be fun and a wee bit demanding But wow! Will ya look at the color on that one! YAY!!Thank you!
Thanks for the challenge, Danica! I never think to do this except for a specific challenge like this. Dalis' tutorial is awesome if anybody needs a "refresher".
These two templates are so awesome with so many possibilities! I kept all the paint from NBK's template with that cute post it note and added it to Sara's template.
Here's my layout combining the 2 templates provided from NBK and Sara Gleason. I used the stitching from both templates, used the thin strip on the right side from Sara's layout as well as the vertical photo spot (twice) and used the paints, painted frame and post-it note from NBK's template. I also used Forever Joy's Dream Out Loud kit.
So I took the photo frame, staples, stitching and circles from Sara's template and added it to NBK-Design template
Thank you Danica for hosting the challenge and thank you NBK Designs and Sara Gleason for the templates to play with.
NBK Designs: Watercolor spots & post it note location (replaced with journal card) Sara Gleason: Everything else!
thank you so much for the wonderful Templates! I had just taken the photos this morning on our dog walk
Yay! This is one of my favorite routine MOC challenges. It's like a puzzle. First I resized NBK's template to my preferred 8.5x11. Then I pulled over the photo and paper layers from Sara Gleason's template.
