January 20: Scrap a bad photo

My son's school picture this year was so bad...not even sure what he was thinking when the picture was taken. The picture quality itself is fine...not glare, blurs, etc. Can I use this picture or does it have to be a technical problem with the photo.

No, for this challenge is has to be out of focus, wrong angle, noisy background, head cut off, parts missing, sun flare, closed eyes without intention, finger over the lens. thanks for asking.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for this challenge! I never would have scrapped this photo. It's blurry and the background isn't good but it tells a story. It's life now, imperfectly perfect:)

I knew exactly what photo I would use as soon as I saw the challenge, so this came together pretty quickly. The photo is bad but I am in love with it anyway and this was the perfect time to scrap it.

Not quite what I was hoping for when I handed DD my phone and asked her to take a pic of us while on a road. I think she just made a bad joke and of course that was when she chose to take the photo :agree Was going to delete it, but luckily for this challenge I didn't ;-)

Frame from One Day at a Time, everything else from Never Take for Granted.

LOL ... my mom was the queen of having her thumb in the photo!

And my dad was the king!

Speaking of my dad: For this challenge, do I have to be the one who took the photo? I'd like to use a childhood photo that was taken by my dad (but only if that's allowed!).

no, the photo can be taken by others. go ahead and use your precious photo ;)

This is funny -- I passed on using this photo on a layout on Day 17 because the photo was blurry. My granddaughter and her birthday cake are blurry but the balloons are very sharp. Yeah, the focus wasn't right at all.

This was super fun! I'm always trying to justify keeping less than perfect photos. Glad I kept a few around.

It can be a challenge taking photos of active sports and I missed the focus while watching my granddaughter. I am surprised to find that it worked well into this layout. Credits are in the gallery.

This photo is blurry (Nolan's face, my husband's hand), too dark and my husband it totally cut off. I can't believe I only took this one photo!

Well one just has to have a sense of humor about these "bad" photos. Usually I delete them somewhat promptly but sometimes it pays to be slow -- which was the case with this one. Makes me stop and reconsider how they might be used.

LOL! For me it’s to pick which one! My grandfather took a trip to Sweden to visit his family back in 1953. He borrowed a friend’s camera and didn’t know how to use it, so ALL of the photos are out of focus! I’ll have no problem doing this challenge!

This challenge recovered a funky photo! I nearly deleted this, but we only see DD twice a year so I didn't. :D
She was supposed to be looking at me- we have so few photos, as I said. Truth be told, neither of us are good on the other end of the lens, LOL!
