I haven’t decided what direction I’m going in yet, but can we use a text based word art instead of the alpha/font?

@yellowpeep, I have done as directed, but would also like to fill an open alpha/wordart - could you or anyone point me to directions how to do this? I'm stuck ...

NEVER MIND: figured it out, remembered how, whatever ...

Artisan Users - Select your text, Insert Outliner, Edit, Convert to Photo Spot, drag in your photo, adjust.

Posted from memory. I think the Convert to Photo Spot is on the Edit sub-menu - might be on the Fill sub-menu. You may need to flatten your text first before the Outliner works.

You could also use the Insert Text Shape option to enter text in a font. Enter your text, select completed text, then right-click on photo and Fill selected area.

If you're using the word art for a title, I think that sounds fine! I'm excited to see your interpretation!

I love fun titles and this is a great way to make titles play with the page too!

Just want to check before I finish off my page...

If I have a multi word title. Can I use this technique on just one of the words or does it have to be on the full title?

I used the BG photo of lantana, a major food source for this butterfly, and clipped it to the letters in my title.
