- JOURNALING: “Idea leuconoe” (also known as rice paper, paper kite, wood nymph or large tree nymph) is a distinctive black and white butterfly from Southeast Asia. These butterflies have a weak, fluttery flight interspersed with gliding due to the high ratio of their wing-size to body-size. Photographed at Franklin Park Conservatory, Columbus OH 9/15/17
