January 17 | String-a-ling

Thanks for the fun challenge! I recolored most of my string to match the papers.

 

Thank you for the interesting challenge. Here is my page. I used the stitching that came with the template to build a grid plus additional messy threads.

 

I created my background using styles from Mommyish. Credits in gallery.

I love, love, love this challenge! So fun! And so great to see what everybody is coming up with!

 

Here's my take. I don't usually use a lot of string so this was challenging.

 

I replaced papers piece and leaves on the template with strings and stitching.

 

I don't know that this is my favorite...but it pushed me outside my comfort zone and for that I am happy

 

@keepscrappin Kayla I had a lot of fun with this challenge, searching for strings, re-coloring it to match my pallette, discovering I could also use stitches, etc. I have 5 strings, stitches in the corners of all the photos and on the bottom edge.

This took a super long time ... to get each string in place ... but I am so happy with how it turned out. Will definitely be playing with string a bit more in the future! Thanks for a great challenge!

This was a challenge! I use stitching some in layouts, but tried to think differently. I used a lot more than I normally would, added a string to connect the photos, and made a stitched 'x' using an element as the template and tracing it with duplicated layers of stitching. I really like how it turned out. Thanks for pushing me to try something new!
