Such a fun challenge @weaselwatchr! I took my time going through my song library and when this title spoke to me by flashing pictures through my mind, I knew it was the right one!

Paul Kelly - Who's gonna make the Gravy? Who's gonna make the gravy? by Paul Kelly was written in 1996. Paul Kelly is an Australian folk artist, Australia's most prodigious singer-songwriter, who is very well loved by all walks of life. In Australia on the 21st of December we wish people "Happy Gravy Day" and often debate whether the tomato sauce should go in or not lol. There's also a debate on who is going to make the gravy instead of Joe? Is it Dan? We think it's Dan because Joe is telling him the recipe. Aussie's will argue black & blue that it is a Christmas song and it gets put on every Djs playlist during the festive season. What I love about it is that it's actually a sad song, A song that reminds you that not everyone is making it home for Christmas, whatever the reason. During the pandemic the song has taken on a new meaning for families and friends separated by border closures. It resonated with Australians so much that they were making videos of themselves and sending them to their loved ones. In 2021 Paul made a montage video clip for the song out of them. Since 2019 it has had even more meaning to me as my brother has been in jail. Now when it plays I think of him and cry because I miss him. Pete & I love this song. Whatever time of year we hear it we turn it up. We have matching 'gravy' t-shirts that we wear to Christmas parties, always on December 21st and to Paul Kelly concerts.Mine says Who's gonna make the gravy? Pete's is a little sneaky. On the front it says Hello Dan, it's Jpe here and on the back it says I hope you're doing well. People stop and comment on it. It's a very special song that has made itself part of our culture.

In fact, their “Hairbrush” song became the daily song that we would sing when it came time to comb Victoria’s hair. Now twenty years later, those lyrics are still stuck in my mind!!
Thanks for the challenge, I already made a page with the lyrics of Fix you from Coldplay, my fav song but this is the second one "sky full of stars" Can't wait to go to the concert in July!
I took a picture just before I came to the computer to do the challenge that was perfect and I knew just the song to go with it
