Jan. 18: Art Journal (Style Challenge)

Way "darker" than everyone else's layouts, but the timing was good to do this challenge. I'd still rather write in my journal than do this type of scrapbook layout.

Not sure if I did this right, but it was fun adding layer after layer once I got started!

My six(ish) year old self, waist deep in snow and loving it! Trying to embrace winter at the moment :-)

I used a picture of myself as a kid and did a pencil sketchy action and then used it like a stamp. :)

Here's mine... Thanks, Lili!

Journaling is about where we live, and plastering a smile on my face. Having to "mingle" with parents and people that can be judgmental. Between school activities, soccer parents and others, I'm more comfortable with my little family, close friends, and neighbors. Dealing with it as quietly as possible, keeping my mouth shut, and a smile on my face.

This one was a challenge for sure! Plus, I kept tweaking and tweaking and looking for more stuff to add. How do you know when enough is enough?

I was really not into this challenge, and it turned out to be so fun! I like that you can scrap a totally random page if you want, and it can still convey emotion about something real. (I really do hate dishes.:giggle) I really love how this turned out!

Sat down to work on this page today and came to browse this thread for inspiration and I am blown away! I know a lot of people were scared and nervous but these pages are awesome!!! I am totally scared and nervous!
