No, ice not done this before! I'm usually traveling solo so Maienit a day trip. I'll have to remember this for the future. Thanks!

I'm hanging on to the pine & berry pack for as long as I can. Cranberry orange is a good transitional.

My house smells like eucalyptus all winter... we all have that oil in our diffusers in our rooms to help with stuffy noses at night. This time of year I really like "spa" smelling candles... eucalyptus/sage, etc.

I have had a couple because I am all about "clean" scents mostly, but it seems like they all have hints of Vapor Rub, hahaha! Lime Verbana has been the closest I have come too that doesn't make me feel ... :groan

My current favorite wax melt is called Flaming Orange. It's a lovely orange smell that I just can't get enough of. It's a cheapo brand name at my Meijer grocery store.

I don't think you can ever go wrong with a coffee or sugar cookie scent!

Ha! as much as they smell delicious, those candles that smell like dessert make me hungry too! Maybe it's age, @NancyBeck ?

I stick with pine all winter just because I love it but the Cranberry Orange sounds nice too. (Who makes this one?) Since we eat a lot of spicy food incl curries, I tend to keep a candle burning in the kitchen year round. Mostly pine or lemon.

I know the feeling, but man they smell sooooo good LOL!

My hubby does not like me to burn candles due to the "smoke" so do any of you guys use diffusers? I recently read that the essential oils are not safe for pets -- do you have any problems with that?

I've been burning my Christmasy candles - apple cider, balsam fir and I love those scents, but now that the Christmas season is past I need to move on. I'm not ready for full on spring florals - any suggestions? What candles/oils/etc are you loving for winter? TIA!

The BEST wax and she carries an insane amount of scents and custom blends (you can even blend your own!!)

Slippery slope with essential oils. Let me state, I am in aromatherapy school and am studying the use of essential oils. Diffusing all day is not good for anyone... people or pets. Diffusing 15-30 minutes then leaving it off for at least 2 hours is much better.

As for essential oils and pets, yes, some of them can be dangerous. If used very cautiously and in moderation, some oils can be used. As a small pet owner, I do not diffuse oils around my 8-9 pound 8 month old puppy. In lieu of diffusing, I mix up a small spray bottle with distilled water (at least 3 oz) and no more than 5 drops of an essential oil. I will spray it once in awhile to freshen the scent in the house but I do not do it every day.

Again, this is just my opinion from what I have learned in school... and this is actually a hot topic on the school FB page right now due to a post going around about a cat.

Thanks Rene'; I read something (maybe post you mentioned) that essential oils can be dangerous for animals and we have a 14 pound terrier that I was concerned about. I love the smell of some oils as well as candles and am trying to find a safe way to have something going when I am home.

I've been using Silver Bells in my Scentsy warmer - it's light and a little pepper-minty, but not in a super sweet Christmas-y way. More in a fresh, clean-house way.

My current candle is called Storm Watch. I finally looked it up. DH is burning Christmas on the Beach. It's like a light Christmas scent, so perfect for after Christmas!
