tidy up your wishlist? I’m realising I have a tonne of stuff still on my wishlist that I’ve bought over the last while so before I go on a shopping spree of sorts I need to tidy it up. Is the only way to do that, deleting individual items off it or is there more of a time saving method I don’t know about? I always say I’ll delete as I buy but that idea lasts about 5 seconds unfortunately!
I usually right click on the product and open it in a new tab in the store to see if I have purchased it. If I have already purchased it I go back to the wishlist tab and delete it, but I note the product right above/under it so I can go right back to the spot I was at and keep cleaning house. I'm on windows, so I use the shortcut for find (control F) type in the name of the product that was right under or above it and viola I'm back in business. HTH
i don't know if there's another easier way (and i'm aware this is rather weird and might not work with a touch screen because i haven't tried since i changed laptops) but when i scroll thru, if there's something i see that i think 'hmm, do i actually have that in my stash?', i open it in a new tab like Kayla to see if it says i have it, and then if i have it and need to delete it, so i know where i'm up to in my looong wishlist, i hold one finger where the grey slidey bar is on the right side of the screen so that when it deletes and goes back to the top of the wishlist again, i can just scroll straight down to where my finger is on the screen and keep scrolling thru my wishlist from there. Hope that makes sense!
Thanks @bellbird and @keepscrappin for the suggestions- looks like this might be a task for when I’m on my laptop rather than my iPad. I was getting sick of having to go through my entire list every time I deleted something.
Ditto. The good news is, the store warns you if you've already purchased something (I know it's tough with individual packs vs kits vs bundles, but if it's a designer who tends to put out bundles, I will check using the search function to make sure I haven't purchased anything from the product line I'm looking at.) And I've said a hundred times but I'll say it again lol, an Excel spreadsheet or some type of spreadsheet may help you with organizing your supplies (eta: that's the general "you," so anyone reading this may benefit from one). I can search it super quickly and not have to worry at all about bundles/kits/packs.
Yep! I do the same thing Justine does. But I still find things in there that I've forgotten I already bought. Thank goodness the store tells me when I've already purchased something. lol!
