    'Kindy' and preschool

England and Australian private school: reception

    NZ and Australia: New entrants

    Then year 1 - 13

Instead of 'grade school' we have primary school, then intermediate, then high school

    Then university.

Yes please please for us homeschoolers!! All of Michele's suggestions are perfect.

Alternative grade stuff for us would be like year-round school, split grades, and dual enrollment, or, funny, "I don't know what grade I'm in, I have to ask my mom." Oh and co-op. And homeschoolers don't take snow days, we get sunny days off. I'm getting so excited, that would be so fun to scrap with.

Yes, SO many times, when my kids have been asked what grade they're in, they shrug and look at me to answer. I'd definitely use a word strip that says "Grades are for eggs." (Did I already say that in my original post?) Thanks for mentioning co-op; I think I forgot that one.

I'll admit, we take snow days off....But we live in Vegas where it's sunny all the time! And school might as well happen in the summer when it's too hot to be outside.
