barely, mind you!

Anyway feels like forever since I've spent time here, just been busy and/or sick. End of August I got sick with a cold that lasted about 10 days-2 weeks, then I was working as an Election official issuing advanced votes (close to 8000 votes over 11 days at one location) and then on election day just over a week ago at a different location. Once all that was finished, I got sick again with a second cold that i'm now just at the end of. No actual job hunting news to report as I've only applied for one job in the last 3-6 weeks due to time - in the space of 12 days, I worked 88.5 hours with one day off. Hoping after tomorrow when I apply for some more jobs I can reward myself with some scrappy and chatty time again.
 
Wow! You have been busy! It's good to see you popping in here. Hopefully you are done with colds for the rest of the year!
 
Sorry you were hit so hard with the flu but glad you got the chance to work during the election (paid hopefully!) Hope you get the chance to come back and play soon (there's a blog hop on for DSD at the moment so that might be a good reward!)

I hope so too @Karen think it will make all the difference once the settled warm & dry weather turns up.

@bellbird yes it was paid work - by the time I get paid this week I will have come out approx +$600 or so better off over the 3 weeks after my government benefit vs income is looked at as well as the taxman taking their cut

Good to hear from you! So sorry you have been sick, but I am glad you were well enough to work. Extra money is always nice. Good luck on the upcoming, continuing job hunt.
 
Ugh sorry about the cold - sounds like the one we had too. Went on forever :angry Hope the election work was fun at times (as well as probably exhausting!) And after all that we still don't know who won LOL:dancebun

Definitely exhausting that's for sure but well worth the extra $$$

I'd pretty much recovered from the first cold (thanks to family) before I started full time work then as soon as I stopped working I got sick again - thinking I either wasn't quite healed from the first cold or someone in the general public who I was issuing votes gave me the cold again then when I finally stopped it hit me the 2nd time.

I hate getting double sick! That sucks. Hey, at least you popped back over in time for DSD fun! And yeah for getting paid work! Hopefully, that's something you can add to your resume, even if it was short term.
 
Those darn colds. I had a bad one too the last couple of weeks. I'm glad you're on the mend and will hopefully be able to scrap with us for DSD this weekend. Good luck with the job hunting.
 
Hopefully that's it for bugs for the rest of the year *knock on wood* I can't imagine working as an election official!! I imagine pure chaos...and from those hours I may be close! Get your apps in so you play, even it's just for this weekend for a couple hours!

It was already on there as it was my 4th go around but I have updated it to add more details
 
You have been busy! And so sorry to hear that you were sick for so long. I hope that is in the past!
