I lived in Covington, KY when I managed for FedEx in the '80s. It has sure changed a LOT! Some things haven't changed though. Izzy's for the best corned beef sandwiches and potato latkes in the world and Sky Line Chili. It's not chili in the sense of spicy hot, but it sure is great comfort food.
For first night box - get a streaming service for your laptop to help with the silence and solitariness of that first night. Unless you're like me and being silent and alone doesn't usually bother you.
