I'm home, but hopelessly behind.

I am so disappointed that I didn't get to meet you in person Angie! I finished the half in 2:20 and my legs are still a bit sore today. Have you ever trained with the run/walk method that you used for the race? I am thinking of signing up for my first full marathon but I know that I could not run the entire time. How are your legs feeling?

Nope, but I tried it for a few miles in one of my long runs.

My legs are fine, I ran 5 miles yesterday. LOL

That is so awesome Angie! I'm so happy for you and it's such a great feeling to finish strong! It really boosts your confidence!

But wait, you're going to TO???? Are your doing the Scotiabank Women's Marathon???

No, Toronto Waterfront on Oct 19.

Good on you Angie!!! You are a superstar! Congrats on your great time!

angie, you make me want to go out and run a marathon, well a half maybe, like right now. :) i DID just get back from buying new running shoes - first I went in to an actual running store and had a consultation and ran in the new shoes on the treadmill. :) yay! cool on your marathon, you really are an inspiration!

What shoes did you end up with? Were they way different from what you had before?

I got saucony kinvara s and i had novas from adidas - i picked them up at costco like three or four or five? years ago! they had been hurting the top of my left foot really bad (I assume it was the shoes) so I was ready to go get a consult! he had me try on a pair of nikes and the updated nova (felt just like the old ones, but new) and the saucony shoes. I liked the saucony best - they are super light, but still have some support. :D

You go! I'm so in awe...makes me want to run some. Kinda. Maybe I'll just get on the Treadclimber today lol. I'll take motivation where I can!

I had a pair of the original Kinvaras and I really liked them! I couldn't wear them for super long runs since I'm heavier and need some cushioning when I go more than 10 miles, but for shorter stuff I loved those cute things!! I should get another pair. :giggle

Well, I ran in them today, just 6.5km and they felt great. My foot doesn't. I really hope it was the shoes and not something else. I haven't gone more than 11km since last September, so think they'll be okay. Will see what happens when /if I ever up my km!
