I'm a sad camper
I've been in the company of a pretty terrific cat for 17 years now (she's actually 21-- I got her when she was four). I brought her over here to Boston from Hawaii when I moved here 16 years ago which means I've known her longer than everyone I've ever met here-- crazy! She eats all kinds of foods and if we leave mint tea on the table, she'll sneak in and sip from it. My daughter is obsessed with her and she's been so tolerant of Morgan's need to cuddle her 24/7.
Her health has been wonderful this whole time but for the last month she's dropped a ton of weight-- now she's only four and a half pounds. We brought her to the vet and she's got failing kidneys plus a high white blood cell count, indicating some kind of infection. She's deteriorating so quickly and it's making me really sad. I'm just hoping you all will keep her in your thoughts, please. She's lived a wonderful, long life and it's hard to watch her in pain and so weak. Here's a layout I made today to honor her.
