Font hog...check! What about PS actions? Yep, check that one too. How I ever did without them I don't know but I love em' to pieces. I have too many to choose from and often some go unused. Here's my recent discovery!

Do you have any favourite action recipes you'd like to share?

Oh yes! I add OTSS's Toy Camera action to all of my photos before doing other actions, or even if I'm not adding others. I love the look of it. I'll have to hunt photobucket for an example to post since I'm not at home.
OK this is the best example I can find, but a lot of my photos on my pages have that action on them.

Total hoarder of photo actions. My favs are MFH, PTM and Coffee Shop. Here are some examples of the Coffee Shop - Magic Sunset action.

i refuse to use actions except on very rare occasions. i LOVE them and love the idea. but it does something super weird in PSE 6.0 and i always end up having to close out and restart PSE once i use an action. bum deal.

It must either be your computer or the action you are running. All actions run fine for me in PSE6. Oh or you know what, do you have a lot of font loaded to PSE? I know that used to make mine crash all the time. Once I got rid of them and used a font manager PSE works much more smoothly.

nope, it's not the computer as it does the same thing on EVERY computer we've tried (3).
it's not the action. it does it no matter what. for any style or effect, even the preloaded ones.
and it doesn't crash. it continues working, but i can't use nudge anymore (you know, like moving stuff around with the arrow keys), which is a really big deal to me. i hate to work with the mouse.

I splurged on the MCP Eye Doctor and Dentist action when they had a sale. I absolutely love the pop it gives to eyes on close-up portraits. Well worth the splurge!

Pioneer Woman has some wonderful actions too! And the Coffeeshop baby action for babies is to DIE FOR!
