Ick. Taxes.

I’d go ahead and file a final return for your mom. If nothing else the IRS will have it. My granddaughter didn’t work in 2022 or have any interest or dividends payable, but I going to file a return for her.

I need to finish up mine and my daughter’s taxes this week. We are both due refunds. And I’ll still waiting for my grandson to provide me with two W-2s. <sigh>
Wow, nice of you to do everyone's taxes! My sister is a CPA and she helps out my parents but I haven't had the nerve to ask her to do mine -- she's too busy with all her other work this time of year.

LOL ... luckily they are all simple returns and I use Turbo Tax.

LOL, I wish I had a dollar for every time after Jan 1 that I think about taxes and then don't actually do them. Then I could afford someone to do my taxes for me. :D

:giggle Same! My hubby finally bit the bullet and did ours last night, so at least our are done. Now I have to corral the last kid and make him to his.

Yes -- this. I need to get my son to do his. And DH always waits until the last weekend before they are due to finalize the taxes. I do a lot of it but he has consulting income and expenses that he needs to enter. He procrastinates to the very last second.

My husband did ours last week because we are vacation this week. He and his business partner sold a rental property and so we had extra taxes to pay. But I suppose the good news is that our state tax was overpaid and the refund from that covers the money owed the federal. Although there was a cash flow problem to solve...

We have also started taking money from retirement accounts and will continue to do that, so now we get to make estimated tax payments. Yuck!!! My husband retired from full time the end of March. His first week not working was interesting. Hope he settles into a better pattern soon.

I have federal taxes withheld from my retirement account. So far it has been enough to cover all taxes so no need for estimates.

My husband had to redo ours three or four times because they kept getting rejected. We never wait until the last minute but we did this time and boy oh boy was it stressful. They finally took them

oh my goodness the post office is SOOOO busy today with all the people mailing taxes!! LOL!

I am either gonna bite the bullet after lunch or file an extension. lol

We finally finished ours on Sunday night. Now we can procrastinate until mid April next year. :giggle

Assembled mine and my DDs, made file copies, put them in envelopes and took them to the PO. Used the drive-up mailbox ... it was stuffed full. I ended up getting out of my car, sticking my arm into the slot and tried to push stuff back and down. I was only partially successful, but at least I was able to push stuff back far enough that it wasn't hanging out of the slot ...

I thought about taking my envelopes inside, but that would required circling back out onto the road and coming back into the lot. PITA, so I didn't. :)
