and I LOVED IT!!!

Usually I avoid using alphas just because they take for-EVER to drag and drop, then size, etc...

In one of the kits that I purchased to scrap our Grand Canyon trip there was a brush for the alpha. I loaded it up and tried it out and I am HOOKED!!!!! I love the ease of using the stamp brush to make titles.

Watch out...I will be having more titles - and I need to find more stamp/brush alphas. They are DA BOMB right now for me!!

Here's the layout I used it on - they are by Mommyish "I've Got a Plan!". It's the "Grand Canyon" font.

I have about half of those that Cheryl just posted... but take a gander through Jaimee's store, because there's stamped alphas with a lot of the story teller collections!
I think it was @AnneofAlamo that posted a video tutorial for something we were doing, not long after her return to the Pad, about brush letter alphas!

But also... I found a script online that I can use with PSE that will put everything on my PSD for me, so I don't have to do all the dragging and dropping!!!

oh, and LBW (smoke signals) has some too, and Nancie (i think was an October M3 add on) ... that I use often...

You gals rock!!! Thank you Cheryl...for giving me something to buy! Payback for all the kits your pages made me buy!!! LOL

Susan...that looks perfect on your layout!

I have to say... because I don't scrap in Photoshop, and the brushes wont work in my program, I alwaya wondered what the difference is? how does it work?

Kisses for Bart!

I've used brushes but the thing I don't like is that I have them loaded and it takes a lot of space in my brushes list. Also it's hard to credit the designer as I usually don't remember who it's from.

Cynthia, with brushes they are slightly more transparent than PNG files of the same image. They can be resized easily and just brushed all over that page far quicker than using PNG files. Most programs that use brushes you can alter the direction of the image and also I know in my Photoshop CS6 you can make them into dynamic brushes which means you just brush the image across the page and lots of those images appear going in different directions and different shades of your chosen color. Brushes are fun to use.

Your title looks fantastic Susan! I love all alphas, but I too find myself drawn to the stamped ones lately.

I love alphas! Brushes are awesome, yay!

I don't think I've ever tried a brush alpha! Thanks for the inspiration Susan, I may have to give it a try.

Must figure out how to do this!!!

I've also taken an alpha I love and turned it into a brush. If I recall, it was pretty easy? I did it in PSE 11. And then I just name the brush designer initials, alpha. Super easy to credit.

I like painty brushes for these reasons, but I've never needed to brush a letter all over my page like that. I don't really get it for alphas. Plus I have a script for pulling png alphas on so that's easiest for me.
