OK fill me in, is that not something that is common to do over there, to bargain for large items like that or it is a personal thing that you would never have considered doing?

Kaye, nope...not common at all over here. Mostly you're just expected to pay the price on the tag. Dave Ramsey is a financial guru who de-bunked that myth for me when I heard him speak about the power of cash.
