I got to hang up with Heathergw today....

So jealous! I wanna come next time maybe! I'm not too far from chi-town! :)

I'm so sad the stupid weather didn't cooperate! I was SO looking forward to a night hanging out!!!!

I am ready for the 26th though!!!!

I'm sad I didn't get to go. :( Better not to risk it though..ice scares me a whole lot. I did spend about 4 hours working on my 2012 Project Life though and got about half of July done. Super excited to get going on it again...there are still huge gaps that need filled in (like the end of September to Christmas Eve and most of April and May).

We woke up to ice on grass and all our concrete completely covered with ice... so I am glad you gals didn't come this way.

ummm...you're talking CHICAGO, right? that's where Dalis and Heather are? Never thought I'd hear THAT called southern!! :giggle

love those meet-ups! awesome you guys got together!

Hey, not taking away by southern belle title... I kind of like it a lot! LOL!!!!

:giggle south?
:giggle mexican food???

ya'll need to bring that tortilla press on down here, and I will hook you all up with some frijoles, green chile' relanos, and salsa that will burn :firey the buds of your tongue and make you beg for more! :circles

I have to admit, I would love to sit in Heather's kitchen and drink coffee and giggle, especially with Miss Dalis there too...sigh :wubb

I can't do spicy any more Anne, so you would have to kick it down a few notches. (of course when I was pregnant I could eat that and not feel a thing)

how far south do you need to be??? I think I'm from the South (well Southern Hemisphere at least!)

Girl, you really are a southern belle!

How fun! i have to say that homemade corn tortillas sound really yummy!

They were delicious, I think I need a tortilla press myself!

lol! I was about to say, Heather is soooo NOT southern.

heather!!!! They are trying to take our souther belle status!!!!! LOL!!!!

So jealous! I wanna come next time maybe! I'm not too far from chi-town! :)

Karen, the more the merrier, (I talk like it's my house... LOL!!!!) Well, if not we can go to my house it's only 7 mins away from heather's!

I know... did you guys get a lot of ice, we got some it is still every where.. yuck!

Yeah, we woke up to a layer of ice here as well (at least on my balcony..haven't tested the sidewalks and roads)...not sure when it started coming down ice but I know it was raining all evening. Planning on hibernating today, working on last weeks project life, and maybe cleaning a little bit.

Looking forward to see your work next time, I loved your PL album last time!

Duuuuuude, y'all corn tortillas are sooooo easy!!! I will never buy them in the stores again... seriously... :giggle (pretending to be all southern) and yeah Trish is right... whenever I go down to Nashville, I get weirded out about how overly friendly they are there... My first time there, I was 7 months pregnant and wanted to put a sign on every day... don't touch the belly without asking, he's a boy, and yes I'm only 7 months pregnant and no it's not twins... I lost his twin early in pregnancy thank you very much for making me cry... and stop asking me so many questions... I'm so used to the Chicago hands off personality LOL

anyways LOL... we even had our own little mini CHA... I even had a "booth" (my crafting table) of tlp project life goodies and we petted some of Jacque's goodies :)

oh... and Lynne-Marie you would have had a blast talking with us... we were talking about music for a good portion of the night... my girlfriend is an oboist and she also teaches piano... and we talked about drums and stuff and different techniques for teaching music... would have LOVED to have you there to join in that conversation

oh, and my girlfriend's husband is a chef so we talked food a lot too, LOL... food and music, it was like a dream conversation

and yeah, the ice is/was nasty... so happy that everyone made it home safe last night... I'm still laughing that we were all deep into conversation and Mark comes running upstairs saying... "alright, I'm kicking you all out, right now" LOL... but I'm glad he remembered to check the weather LOL

LOL... I'm a thread killer :p

btw, Dalis makes the best ground beef for tacos... we had more today, soooo YUMMY!!!

Hey now. I'm a pretty hands-off southern, thankyaverymuch. I get weirded out when people touch me, even people I know. And don't even get me started on having to hold hands with people for praying in Sunday School. **shudder** It's a standing joke in my class.

This is me too! Dalis made a comment about how she caught me offguard by hugging me when we met. I'm a very keep to my own space sort of southerner. I know when we all got together they had to get me to move closer in to get into the pic..I was a good 2 feet off to the side I think..lol. And I hate, hate, hate having to hold hands with strangers or people I don't know very well...gives me all sorts of heebie jeebies.

LOL!! I did see your pics Lynne-Marie, I actually don't mind driving in snow, it's the freezing rain that freaks me out lol

and I'm totally teasing about the touchies... I'm a hugger, but only if I know you lol

Trish.....I think you're only 2 hours away from me, aren't you?!?! Like Memphis?!?!?

Now.....that's southern.....Y'all!

Well, I'm half French (my mother's side) so we are really into hugging and even kissing on the cheek when we greet each other. This is common even with people we just met! We kiss once on both cheeks, but in many other places it's 3 or even 4 times! :)

Maybe next time I visit home the three of us (and anyone else here from the area) can get together. I was hoping to meet Trish in the fall but our zoo trip turned into a big family affair instead of just my little family of three. I'm originally from NE Arkansas so Memphis is only about an hour and LR is about 2 hours from where I grew up.
