I feel dumb.

that is pretty cool. i would have never thought of that!

my daughter is more clueless than me when it comes to tech gadgets, so she is no help, it's my son that knows it all and can figure anything out.

my fave thing to use siri for is when i'm running errrands ... i always forget that last little one ... like the library or whatever. so when driving i will voice command her to remind to go to the library before i head home. i'm always using siri for little reminders when i am out and about. love it.

I am going to have to try that. I rarely look through the gallery on my iPad because it is such a pain to type comments!

I kept trying at the beginning to use Siri, after like 15 minutes he/she finally told me something like they couldn't help me right now and shut off. Haven't had the nerve to ever try again.

I need a kid around to tell me these kinds of things. I would have never thought of speech to text. You can use it for so many things, but I just always type.

I need an iPad-!!!!!!!

is that available in other tablets or is that something Apple only?
I should find out if I can have it in my iMac (as I have to buy a new one....like yesterday! LOL)

That would be so perfect for me!!!!

Well, speech to text doesn't know how to spell "That layout is scrapdiddlyumptious!" ;)

I love speech recognition! I use it if I'm making a list of things really fast. :)

I scrolled quickly and didn't see anyone who had explained how to use it, if anyone is wondering. On the iPad or iPhone, when you have the keypad up, there is a little microphone button in the bottom left hand area. Press it, and it will beep at you. Say a few things and then press "stop." It works pretty darn well!

Never used it myself and probably never will…guess I like to complicate my life :/. My boyfriend however uses it to do the grocery list

Ohmygoodness, I feel like a real dingus because I had NO idea this was possible. I have to figure out how to try this!

*sniff* my iPad model is too old for Siri. I think I might need an upgrade in the near future.

I have my voice control turned off but I may change my mind after this revelation. It never occurred to me. Pretty cool!

LOL! I only recently learned I could do it on my phone. It really is amazing what the young ones know. And the tiny ones learn so young!!!!

Ok ladies, just wait till your 5 year grandson starts teaching you about techy things the he seems to have been born knowing how to do. Now that really makes you feel dumb and very old!

I left a voice to text message on my friends phone, she was in hysterics (in a good fun way) because the message about a playdate for our kids was rather laden with expletives! Very funny...

I would love to use voice to txt but all my devices are too old, time for an upgrade somewhere I think...
