I have been really attracted visually to the new etching of flat items. I saw some beautiful things where a pattern was etched into a surface then gold foiled - sugar powder with cookies. I am going to try to find an image...brb.

I love the etched designs! I also like drizzled white and dark chocolate overtop of cookies. I use a cheap squirt bottle to put it in.

Is it a cookie? Looks like a wooden ornament to me?

Yeah, is that wood? If so, you could find lace and daub paint on. It would look similar to the cookies Danyale showed you. Kind of like this:

I was just showing what I meant by the inspiration I had - I do think its wood or some sort of flat surface - which is why I thought of it. :)

the textured stamp/cookie looks cool and i love Sara and Jan's inspiration shots - the sprayed doily look sounds great and i also like the more simple (to me) idea of just tying something like a bell, snowflake or heart charm etc around it with some ribbon, wool or twine if you want a more rustic look like this

So many different ideas. I would collage them with papers and embellishments that match in with the decor. If giving as gifts I'd choose something particular to each recipient.
