How to you check in at TLP?

I'm just curious. How do you check in here at the Pad? Do you check in in the morning before work? After the kids are in bed? Also, do you come to the forum and immediately hit "New Posts" or do you just check individual forums that interest you?

When do you check in?
How many times a day?
New Posts or Individual Forums?


For me, I always check in first thing in the morning and go straight to the New Posts. After I read all the threads I wanna read I go back to the main forum and then scroll all the way down and click "Mark Forums Read". That way if I come back later in the day and hit "New Posts" again, it'll only show me threads that have new posts since that last time I came. Also... the number of times a day varies... if there's lots going on I'll check in after work and then in the evening after the kids go to bed, but if I'm busy, it's just the once in the morning. :)

i check in a couple of times each day - definitely in the am and pm and then during the day whenever i can - it really depends on what i've got going on. i used to use the new posts feature exclusively - but for some reason that's become too confusing for my brain - LOL - so i go through each sub forum individually and then mark everything read when i'm done.
 
usually in the AM. and then often lots of times during the day (when i should be doing something else). i don't use any of the fancy buttons. usually, i quickly go through all the forums in the AM, then hit the gallery ... and then later during the day, i'll just scan the threads that interest me & pop back into the gallery again.

I do the same as Jenn.

Fog day here so no buses=not many students

usually in the morning and evening. more often if I am working on something and need to settle my brain.. I hit new posts first then if I'm looking for something particular I might scroll the forums. Always a visit to the gallery though.
 
I check in many times throughout the day and evening via my iPad!


When the laptop is on I'm straight here too LOL

No set place I visit first - forum or gallery - but when I visit the forum I always click on new posts
 
I always check in the morning. An than i go back different moments of the day as well.
 
I usually would first look at my email, when I wake up and then come here- I have trouble reading and properly get the info as my brain scrambles info, so it is slower than most, especially when is a thread with lots of responses...I have no trouble talking one to one (apart from my hands sometomes dont work and my brain mixes letters, but reading long threads I need to concentrate, so I try getting used to areas of the forum one at the time, I have a couple of places I know my way around, still need to find a proper system to be able to check it all, especially because one of the areas I forget to check is the M3 & Art Journaling which am both passionate about!!!!

but as am here by the computer most of the day, I check as much as I can .... :)
 
The time of day I check in varies, but I always hit new posts when I do. I stop in at least a few times a day, just quick check-ins though. I work from home, so that works for me.
 
I check in a few times a day - mornings and during the day is through tapatalk, evenings are through my laptop

Usually on my laptop when I get home from work. If it's slow at work, then I'll check it on my phone. Tapatalk wasn't great on my phone, so I just view the desktop version on my phone.
 
I don't check anything (email, websites, FB, IG, etc) until I get to work at my desk. Otherwise, I wouldn't get up and actually get ready for work! I'll check every so often at work, and pop around. Sometimes, I'm not able to comment, but I like to click on new posts.
 
first thing i do, when i wake puter up when i get up. And like every hr or less.
 
I usually check in mid-morning, during lunch, and after the kids go to bed. I wasn't aware of the "new posts" button so I'm going to have to check that out! I just usually go to the forums and look for posts that I'm interested in.

This is very much me - the only thing I check before I leave home is my uni email incase lectures or something have been changed or cancelled
 
I check in the morning and in the evening (by selecting New Posts), and multiple times during the day...

This! And if for some reason it's been a while I check specific forums as well (such as the AJ forum) just to make sure I didn't miss anything important.
