How much space do you have left?

I have Backblaze too and, although it was tedious downloading everything when my pc crashed, it was much, much better than losing everything! I was too tight to pay out for the hard disk.

@fruitysuet I used to burn my monthly purchases to a dvd and that did keep my buying habits down to 4GB a month. I've been told that they deteriorate after time, and I've meant to check my oldest ones which go back to 2010. I gave that up as I was buying larger files and as I got more experience scrapping I wanted more stuff! It was on to EHDS and seeing them hum and flash lights warms my soul!

@LovelyMissKait EEEEK! Please tell us you're backing up somewhere!

I have an external with 380 free of 930 gigs. I have some older kits on another drive and at some point will purge again, and then put all the digi stuff on one drive together (with a backup on another drive).

I ought to re-check, but at the time I was still reading and able to back up from cd's that must have been getting on for 10 years old

I came out of Backblaze because they one day emailed me saying we had to stopped your back ups because your date was compromised, something that they didnt explain what happened, and in order to carry on backing up I had to un install and re install.....
me, whose brain could have ended up deleting the whole hard drive, asked for phone or skype or live chat help to do the uninstall re install.....
they kept telling me they don't do that....
so I went to Crash Plan who had online live chat.....
thing is.... same thing happened with the data but Crash Plan did not notify me something was happening..... result of that: the EHD crashed...and all the files I saw disappearing before the EHD crashed, didn't come back in the recover :(
I'm trying to sort myself out to go to Backblaze with the new Mac.... but I\m nowhere near organization :( scrapping is always a priority LOL

1TB hard drive in my laptop. 793GB free. We have 2 servers that we also use for backup/storage. Not sure about those. I recently discovered Backblaze. I hope it's worth the money!

I paid for the portable EHD from Backblaze when my EHD failed . . . and found out recently that if you return the EHD, you get that money back! I was like, geez, why didn't I know about that then. (I believe it's a recent change in service). Just something to think about, in case it happens again.

Well, I bought a 2TB EHD today. :) I was getting worried about my "old" 2TB, which now has about 630GB free. While that's not exactly "full," I wanted to start backing up my purchases and my pics onto a new EHD before this one was completely full.

Also, I debated between the 2 and 4 TB size. DH said he's glad I bought the 2TB cuz "you'd just have reason to buy more stuff if you bought the 4TB." Heehee!
