How much sleep do you get / need?

I have always needed my sleep - I am one grumpy human being if I don't get enough.

I have been taking a prescription sleeping pill for about 2 years and though I hate having to rely on it, I know taking it is far better than not sleeping! (I could only sleep about 2 hours and then I'd be up all night long!)

Now I get about 8 or 9 hours most nights.

How much do you need? Do you get enough?

I like to have heaps but generally get about 6-7 during the week then make up for it on days off

I need 6-7 hours, in a row, without waking up in the middle to feel my best. I want more than that, at least once in a while, but it is super rare (my hubby leaves for work at 5:30 so is usually awake at 4 or so, even on his days off) I wake to little noises in the middle of the night if I don't take a melatonin or use essential oils that help produce it to help me sleep soundly.

I joke that sleep is my love language, but nobody around here speaks it!

I would say 6-7 hours for me. I have and can function on 4 but that eventually gets to me and wears me down. I have had issues with insomnia but for some reason I am suddenly able to sleep...not questioning the why, just glad it's happening and has lasted for some time now.

I probably get about 6-7 hours per night... I'm a shift worker and sometimes have difficulty sleeping because my body never gets used to the same sleep patterns. It's never enough though...

I usually get 6-7 hours a night during the week and then I'm known to sleep in on at least Saturday and get about 8-9 hours. I try to store it up even though I know that doesn't really work. I used to have to have 8-9 hours every day but then I had kids and discovered digital scrapbooking and started to sleep WAY less. :)

I'm a 9 hour girl. When teaching I only got 7 usually. Now that I'm retired I get up when I wake up and it's after about 9 hours.

i like 8 hours (perfect amt. for me) ... but usually end up getting 7 or 6. i cannot function with less than 6.

My hubby works nights (11P-7A) so I am home alone and for a long long time that was part of my sleep issues - I would hear every little sound too --- but then started running a fan (white noise) and that helped too.
