I was going to say maybe a shower too! Katelyn is 6 and she is a ZOMBIE in the morning, she sleeps so deeply! When she wakes up she's just kind of wandering around aimlessly. We have a very strict 7 pm bedtime, so she can get enough sleep (all she does is cry in the morning if she's gone to bed late). Then I wake her up and march her to the shower. That's the hardest part of the morning, it usually involves me counting to 5 and threatening to make her eat school lunch instead of pack, lol! After her shower though, she's wide awake and super motivated. I pack her lunch and make her breakfast while she's in there. We usually do pop tarts or toast, because she can eat those things while I dry and fix her hair. (Kind of gross, but whatever works I guess, lol). She can wash herself on her own, so I wake her up at 6:30 and poke her in the shower and let her take her time. This works 90% of the time, especially now that we're near the end of the school year and it's been her routine for awhile. Good luck figuring out something!
