I am not kidding you! I AM MELTING. I have NEVER been this hot in my life - I am in Thailand and we are experienced our worst heat wave since 1967. It has been over 106 for over 65 days now and my little single room Air Cons are not cutting it anymore. Our room - even with air con on - never gets below 28 C - and to be honest 28 has started to feel nice!

I know some of you are sick and tired of cold weather and ready for summer - but can you pass me some of your cool breezes, even virtually for a minute, before I DIE!

Any cold weather pics, or cold stories I can just look at and pretend I am not sweating for a minute.

And if anyone else is in Asia and going through this too you can pull up a chair with your ICE COLD beverage of choice and look through whatever comes with me - OKAY?

Please, please, please help a melting mama out!

Oh man....I am longing for heat right now. Here in Michigan I am sitting on my couch this morning with my fireplace on....IN APRIL (almost May really)! It is 37 degrees and rainy (and my weather app says it actually feels like 29 - so below freezing). I am on the opposite end of you - thinking this is getting a little ridiculous about now! Hope you can cool off enough - I don't like to sit in my own sweat either, and it's no fun to be freezing - wish there was a happy medium!

I will be so happy to trade, or better yet - go halfies... Montreal is teasing us with above average temperatures one day and then dropping to below the next. Today we are minus 2 Celsius, but Sunday we were +18 and Monday +10... Where is my summer!.

If there was a way to send the cool, I would. Then I'd take the heat! Hoping it breaks for you guys! Stay safe in that heat!

I couldn't do it. I do NOT handle heat. I have experienced that kind of heat before, for less than a day, and it was absolutely horrible. 65 days?! OMG. I just can't see how I would make it. I do not mind cold at all but I'd happily share with you if could! I haven't put my coat away yet.

How about wet, wet, wet?

It's crazy here. We have had our first 100 degree day already...weeks ago. Now we'll have a few days in the high 80's and 90's and the next thing you know we are back down into the 50's and 60's. Then the 70's. Today is 72 right now. Next week the 90's will be back. And it's windy!!!! Blustery windy!! They are tearing up the road in front of our complex so it's blowing dust into my house. I sit down to play my piano and the keys are gritty. I love leaving the doors open with all this wonderful fresh air blowing thru though. Dust and all. :)

We were in Thailand for a couple of days in January. As always when we are in that part of the world, it wasn't the heat that killed me but the humidity. Not getting below 28 is just nasty though - dry heat or humid heat, that isn't much fun...

Good luck and hopefully it gets slightly more bearable very soon.

@mimisgirl hmmm maybe now is the time to pull out those photos from your cold spell on the winter? tee hee
I love hot, but humidity and hot is torture.
but here are my kids in the dead of our winter, on the trampoline:

Aww - @AnneofAlamo you are a LIFESAVER! LOVE you! and yes, we were looking through them, but there is no ice and snow, just us bundled up and we were like - ACK we feel hotter just looking at those jackets, he he :)

HAPPY MEDIUM! yes, why can we not just have year long happy medium!
opposite here! northern England and we have weather warnings for snow, in APRIL!!. we had hail and snow yesterday
I heard some of my friends in the US have had that too - the weather is ALL WONKY!

Thanks - I think we are going to the mall for ice cream and air con today!

I am pretty sure everyone's summer went to Asia on vacation this year, and our monsoon went everywhere else. Our rain has been non-existent and our rice crops are failing. plus all our electricity is generated by hydroelectric - EEK!

I used to say the heat did not bother me, but I think I am getting too old for this - I certainly don't want to start having hot flashes here - OMG I would die!

How about wet, wet, wet?

that works too! we are actually due to start our wet season, but they are saying it will be delayed - ACK - our water is running our quick.

Here you go, a photo of my kids from last January. We live in Fredericksburg, Virginia. And there are more snowy pictures at my website. :) Do you have any photos to share? I'd love to see Thailand.

Aww - Thank you! I do, let me go see if I can find some and I will come back and post them for you (actually I have tons, so I will pick some of my faves for you.

I hear you - I prefer to leave the doors open too - but right now the heat has caused an access of smog as well, so those are all shut for now. Where do you live? That weather sounds like what we used to have this time of year when I lived in Texas, he he.

Thanks - one way or another it will get better because we are leaving the second week in June, but I had hoped to leave with fond memories, :( - I think the days where it gets hot, but cools of at night are OK, but when it gets so hot that everything radiated heat all through the night - that is when it feels like hell on earth. ah well.

Oh my! That's a long time to be that hot! Yikes! I wish I could have bottled up some of the cold weather we had here yesterday and sent it to you! I was sitting on the edge of the soccer field freezing. I would have loved to trade you for a warm breeze! I sure hope it breaks soon and you can get some relief!

All I can say is Yuck. Hopefully it cools down a bit--or your room air cons magically starts releasing snow flakes (that don't melt) into your rooms. :)

ha ha - funny you say that - a few days back it started spitting ice because we had it on so long and the filters got clogged (thanks to the smoggy air) but we had it cleaned and serviced so it is working again sans ice - we did get some cloud cover today which means it cooled off some in the late evening. hubby came home excited, then checked the thermometer and said "sad that I think 93 is comfortable!" he he.

well...I am in London but we are freezing too!!!!!!!
I would gladly trade places with you Erin!!!!!!
It sounds pretty much like summer north east Brazil.... minus the air conditioning as the sea side village electricity couldn't really tale sophisticated machines..the best was , we could walk to the edge of the hill, or go swimming on the beach or at our friends pools....so not much drama.... I rather have heat than cold , any time!!!!

Hope you are feeling better by now Erin, virtual huggzz (so they dont make you any more hot!!!! LOL) @mimisgirl

Oh Erin you take me back! I lived in Bangkok in the mid 70s and when we first arrived I was floored by the heat and humidity. I eventually got to tolerate it - barely - but every time I think I'd like to go back and visit (esp with my adopted Thai daughter) I think of the worst day we have here in Maryland and then remember it was much worse over there. We never did get to the temps you're having though and when I went up to Chiang Mai it even felt chilly!

I'll have to find the photo of my daughter and one son at the front gate during monsoon time with the soi flooded. They had fun in it! though our maid washed their feet with bleach when they were ready to come back in!

sending you ~~~~~~> cooling winds! and a drop in temperature!

normally it is bearable, but this year is just awful - I think the smog has progressively gotten worse the last three years and that really makes it awful. I don't mind heat, I just hate not being able to get away from my sweat, and right now there is no relief. no breeze, and the water coming out of the hose in the yard is scalding. Eek!

Thanks @cookingmylife I think Bangkok is worse - we at least get the water first. Chiang Mai is usually not so bad, but this year, man. - back in 2012 there was a bad flood on our street too - and all the kids were out playing in it. I remember washing my kids with SO much soap when they got back in - because that water literally was coming up out of the sewer drains - I was so grossed out, he he.
