For those that celebrate, when do you take down your Christmas decorations? My MIL is on a cruise now, and left her tree up and comes back for a week, and leaves for another cruise with us and tells us she is leaving it up until she gets back which will be february. Hubby told her the tree will be needleless by then. We actually didn't decorate this year, but in years past ligts come down from outside when it is warmer or the snow has melted. We just leave them off.We haven't had a tree in years because of the cats.

Any one still have their trees/decorations up?

Like you, we didn’t decorate here either and haven’t done for a number of years. When we did decorate we most likely would have had everything packed away by the time my mum went back to work which was the first full week of January generally (when she was working in an office based job)

I packed up everything (including our artificial tree) yesterday and today. Just a few odds and ends that need to go into storage. I like decorating but by the end of the Christmas season, I start to feel a little claustrophobic about all the Christmas "clutter" and it feels good to have it put away again.

My daughter put everything away the day after Christmas. I was happy to get more space back in our living room; a full size Christmas tree takes up so much space!

I'll get to mine when I can. sometimes it's Jan 1 - sometimes it's in Feb. hahaha. It is still up right now. But I seem to never get around to getting mine out until shortly before Christmas. I think if I got mine out earlier, I would be ok taking it down sooner. I love the lights that the decor brings. December is too busy of a month for me with year end at work that I never feel like I get to enjoy it until after Dec 31!

I usually like to do it before we head back to school after the new year. This year we didn't... so maybe the weekend at some point. When we do, I'll wrangle the boys to clean too! :giggle

I love to look at it all... but actually dread putting all the holiday items up and taking it down! I really should try saran wrapping my tree! Haha!

I took everything down yesterday.. it took me all of 5 minutes LOL... I put away my stockings, got rid of the cards on my fireplace mantle and then put away my glass with fir branches and christmas balls back in the little cubbie closet in my dry sink.

This year again (didn't last year either due to my accident) we did not put up the tree. Hubby has liked it this way the past 2 years, and says it is now tradition LOL, but I do love my tree. Generally we put it up the day after Thanksgiving and take down on January 2.

We took down the tree yesterday (Jan 2nd) and the outside lights on the 1st. It was lovely here on Sunday, a high of 72 which was crazy after the snow we got on Christmas Day and deep cold that we had the week before Christmas. We cleaned out one of our storage areas yesterday as well and got rid of a bunch of stuff which helped me feel pretty productive for the beginning of January.

I put most things away on the 1st so the cleaning lady wouldn't have to clean around them yesterday. I did leave a couple of things out like my lighted tree. I just love it. Although I still have my small tree up in the office. She doesn't clean this room so it wasn't in her way. And, it is white and honestly doesn't look that Christmassy!

I put most of it up on Nov 30/Dec 1 so it was up for about a month.

ours are still up. I anticipate hubby wanting them down in the next couple of days or so.

We typically leave ours up for a week or so after the new year, however, I had surgery on both of my feet on Tuesday the 27th so I took everything down the day after Christmas. I didn't want to have to deal with it later.

I normally take my tree down the first weekend after New Year's. I did put the Christmas stockings up in the attic yesterday.

We didn't put the tree up until the weekend before Christmas, so I'm not tired of it yet.

I love putting it up. I hate taking it down.

I've started to put away some of my decorations, but I'm keeping my tree up until January 7.

My decorations are still up and I'm sick right now, so I haven't even thought about when I'll take them down. We have a fake tree, so I may just leave it up until I'm ready to decorate for Valentine's Day. No one else in my house will take it down and clean up all the decorations, anyway.

Ours stays up until the Epiphany and then we decorate for Mardi Gras! If it gets down by then we will be lucky. DH fell and hurt his knee really bad.

I think I've usually taken it down sometime in the first week of January. Ours is still up right now, but I might take it down today.

I usually do it all the day after Christmas, but because our Christmas was such a disaster this year, I left it up a few extra days. We lost power at 3am Christmas Eve and didn't get it back until 3pm on Christmas Day. That was the most miserable 36 hours ever lol. I took it all down on December 29th. It was fairly nice outside that day, too, so it all worked out.

Our tree stayed up until Jan 1st and is all packed away now until next Xmas. I'd put it away sooner but my hubs likes to see the tree on New Years.
