My oldest (daughter) turns 16 next week and I have no clue how to make it special for her or what we should do!???

Any ideas or things you've seen done to make it a special and memorable day?

Birthdays aren't a big deal in my house (maybe because so many kids? lol), but how about a mani/pedi girls day out?

Oh I love Angie's idea... And is she trowing a party with her GF's or just for the fun of it... how about a trip with a pink limo? A special photoshoot with friends?

All of those ideas sound great! How about a day off from school with the mani and pedi? Like the next day (most kids love to go to school on their actual birthday) if it falls during the week.

Oh Brynne can hook you up girl on Pinterest! There are so many wonderful ideas on there that I WISH I had a girl to decorate for now. (Note, I said Wish not Want!)

Clearly you must buy her a brand new red convertible complete with a huge bow on it for her to see when she leaves to go to school in the morning. :)

You should throw a super cheesy fake prom...you know how you do ugly sweater parties at Christmas...well do like tacky prom dresses.

You could set up a fun photo booth, music, you could do crowns and sashes for prom queen party favors, have some prom themed movies on hand if they get bored (Pretty In Pink, She's All That)...a fun theme with really simple and low cost ideas <3

We did a prom last year for our younger girls(age 10) when the Disney movie Prom came out. We had so much fun...

i love love LOVE the photoshoot idea!!
we actually did that when my daughter turned 12. her and her friends had a BLAST!!!
i will definitely do that again when she turns 16.
    (which is this summer!!!! eep!)

at her 12th party i think she had 10 little girls there.
i'm thinkin there won't be near as many on her 16th.
    maybe 3. LOL

we went to a pizza joint after.
the girls were a giggly little group!

this year......for her 15th. we did a mustache bash.
had an ice cream bar and set up a photobooth.

kind of the same as a photoshoot?......hmmmm nah.
we will go on location and i'll have somebody else take the pics.
    no props either.
    serious fun!
