Good Morning Everyone, I started digital scrapbooking in 2009 and made many wonderful books for my family. About 5 years ago, I joined Ancestry, started tracing family trees and just left the world of scrapbooking behind and except for the pages I've made for my Ancestry books and one baby book for my new grandson, I rarely scrapped anything. The other day I was organizing my hard drive and realized I had bought so many kits years ago that I had good intentions of using yet didn't. I was curious about some of the designers of the kits and templates so did a search. Thank goodness a few of them are here I scrapped a few pages this weekend, and really enjoyed it. I need to do this more often. And oh my gosh, I looked through the store and saw so many goodies! So sorry for the long paragraph, here's the bio. Retired Assistant Librarian from a large middle school in Northern Wisconsin. Four children - all grown up and moved away. One darling grandson, one 6 year old Shih Tzu/Yorkie that's really my 5th child and one wonderful husband that celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary with me yesterday. I hope to get to know many of you and really look through your book threads.
Hello Debra and welcome to TLP! Also, happy anniversary. So glad you found us here and also glad you found your digi stash! That must have felt like finding buried treasure lol!
Hi Debra! Ancestry and scrapbooking go together really well. We have some great scrappers who combine them and tell the stories for the generations coming up to know about the past.
Welcome to The Lilypad Debra! I think we all have those hidden kits in our stash - I like to think I will use all the products I have on my EHD one day. Sigh...it's a good dream. hahaha!
Welcome Debra. I hope you settle in and enjoy being here. Do not hesitate to ask for any help you may need.
Welcome to the Lilypad Debra! How fun that you're jumping back into scrapping after an ancestry break. My sister is HUGE into Ancestry stuff which is awesome because she's doing all the work for me and I don't have to figure it out.
Welcome to The Pad, Debra! I just had my 28-year anniversary and have a new grandson as well! Your work with Ancestry is fascinating. My dad put in a lot of research on our origins and found that I hail from Buckfastleigh, Devon in England. As a devoted Anglophile, that makes me very happy!! I’m a hybrid scrapper (I do it all, actually) and have been scrapping since 1997. I have 2 grown daughters, my new grandson, and my son is in high school. We’re happy you found us and are part of The Pad family. If you ever need anything, just let me know. I’m happy to help!
Hi and welcome to TLP! Glad you've rediscovered your scrappy supplies and had some fun with scrapping again. You're going to love it here! Don't hesititate if you have any questions. There's always someone around to help.
