Hdllooooooooooo!!!!! so so glad too be able to be back around a bit now!!!
I'll try make this as short as possible (yeah, I know, but at least I DO try! LOL), just wanted to say hi and give you a bit of what's happening in our little world
After 7 or 8 months without doing anything scrappy, my doctor decided that coming here and using the computer a bit or with help will do better overall than the way I was feeling ...
There is a need to not use my hands a lot : I'm on a 1 year + waiting list to have 2 operations: was diagnosed with very advanced Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both hands, and a compromised nerve in the right elbow, which means the right side operation will be with general anaesthetic...which I am wary (and weary!) of, not just because I'm 65, have a heart condition, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, some other issues with health...but mainly because I had a routine hip replacement 21 years ago that went terribly wrong and 3 or 4 operations (can't remember much these days!) that followed trying to correct the issues failed miserably... but I know I am blessed with so very much, so I keep the faith and a bit of hope, some days are easier than others, but we do keep going, right?
Just wanted to explain that all this makes me slower, I need help to scrap and type, my computer time when I am alone is short, as I need to try not to use repeating movements with my hands, earliest they will call me to put a date for the first operation will be October, which means I wont probably have the op until January really....and when I asked the surgeon how long until going into nerve damage....she said "we don't know" .... which actually translates into: "we do not want to let you know we may not operate in you in time"
BUT
I'm here, slower, probably wont be scrapping the whole MOC but will be around a bit to delight my heart popping in your galleries....just bear with me as I'm slower than before
A HUGE THANK YOU to ALL of YOU who have my number and have made a point of staying in touch (I can't type but I can talk or leave voice messages), there are especially a few people who have made sure I am coping and keeping at least a tiny bit of sanity, wont make a list as I have made this long enough already, and I need to save energy to go to the gallery!!!
So, please, bear with me, I'm delighted to be able to be around again!!!!
Last but not least, belated great wishes, hope you all had a great Christmas or Hanukkah and the most fabulous start of the year and are enjoying MOC!!!!!
