Have you tried any extreme or scary sports?

This summer, we went ziplining in Canada. I'm not sure if that qualifies as an extreme sport but my son is terrified of heights and I was so proud of him that he agreed to go and then actually did it! I've been zip lining a couple of times now and I've also been skydiving. I've tried surfing and white water rafting. On the other hand, I don't have much of an appetite to try things like bungee jumping or climbing Mt Everest. A shark cage is intriguing tho. :D

What about you? Are you a thrill seeker? Have you tried any "extreme" or scary sports or activities?

Some photos for fun below:

Nope. Super wimp here. About the closest thing I've come to an extreme sport was body surfing when I was a kid. We didn't have the money to rent the rafts they had at our beach, so we did the next best thing and taught ourselves to body surf. Oh, the buckets of sand that we had to empty from our suits! lol! Don't think I could do it now, though. I'm simply happy to sit on the beach and take it all in.

Love your fun photos from ziplining! I am definitely a thrill seeker, though not much as I get older and have kids that aren't haha I have been tandem hang gliding, bungee jumping, indoor sky diving, ziplining, and white water rafting (though there wasn't very much white water). I even worked on a high ropes course while my husband and I were dating.

oh no, thank you very much!! :circlesI'm too afraid of heights to try anything different!
but I love watching videos and TV shows that show all those sports, it's safer in my couch than in real life :clap

love your photos!!

Nope. If I was 30 to 35 years younger (aka in my 30's) I'd probably try ziplining or sky diving. Even now I will no longer go on roller coasters that I absolutely love. Don't want neck issues from being whipped around!

Yes, I've been known to enjoy an extreme activity, or two, or fourteen... Although I don't get the chance to do them quite as often with kids in tow.

Bungy jumping (dozens of times, I founded and owned a bungy company)
White water rafting
White water kayaking
Zip lining
Diving

That just gave me an idea for a layout. I think I'll title it, "Adrenaline is my friend!"

I love ziplining and top of my bucket list is skydiving!!

I've never been interested in sky diving but I did jump off a cliff into the ocean when I was 20. Skiing is probably the most risky thing I've done. (Well, statistically, driving is the most risky thing we do and I do that most days.) The older I get, the more risk averse I've become. I want to explore the world through traveling and touring and hiking but don't want to do any risky sports.

Hmmm, nope I don't think so. I am super clumsy and well, I'm super clumsy, lol. I did go dog sledding in Alaska and fell off the sled, so that that's. My husband said why are we stopping? The guide yelled we lost your wife. Good times

Nope, nope and nope. Closest I got to extreme sports was walking across a suspension bridge and I’m not planning on doing that again!

When I was younger I went parasailing, dived off a 30 ft cliff and white water rafting. Don't wish to do any of that now, I prefer to watch, not do :)

Like Rene, if I was 30-40 years younger I'd like to try zip-lining, although I'm terrified of heights. I've had to give up most of the roller coasters at Disney due to whiplash or motion sickness.

Yeah, I've mostly given up roller coasters too -- aside from neck/back issues, they mostly make me feel ill for a while. I did go on Expedition Everest at Disney World this summer just to try it once. That was enough (but I think it's worth it just to see the cool stuff on the line!).

and white water rafting (though there wasn't very much white water).
My husband, Gary, and I went on a very tame white water rafting trip. We went down this one weird dip, though, and Gary just sort of flipped straight backwards off the raft. On his way, he managed to hook his foot through the straps on the front of my life jacket. So, he's hanging upside down with his head under water and everyone is yelling at me to "LET HIM GO" as if I'M intentionally trying to drown him. :D Meanwhile, I'm desperately trying to get him untangled so he doesn't drag me in with him. :giggle We all survived.:rollin

Love it! My husband always says that he doesn't understand why I like horror movies and I tell him that it's the same reason he likes roller coasters -- because the rush that you get is fun and exciting and makes you appreciate life!

That’s so scary! I’m glad you all survived.

I did zip lining in the rain forest in Costa Rica. I also jumped off a cliff into a water fall in Costa Rica. I've jumped off old train bridges into rivers and lakes. ... I've gone white water rafting.
I've been para sailing a lot.
And I did some high diving as a kid... if that counts

I've done Parasailing & Ziplining! SO fun! I'd zip line again!

I went ziplining when my oldest turned 18. I would do that again.

I do like rollercoasters, but as I get older the thrill isn't really there and I always end up taking Tylenol for headaches.

I always thought I would want to skydive one day but that has passed.
