I wonder Anne @AnneofAlamo what the couples do the other 364 days of the year!! Lol I am lucky and have a wonderful guy.. we tell each other “I Love You” all day long at different moments during the day. I would rather we spend time together always!! I am very lucky and fortunate especially knowing him my entire life hugs my friend!
Same here, Christa @cfile we don't buy each other any gifts for any occasion. He got me one of those Vermont Bears a few years ago and I was shocked.
My hubby and I enjoyed breakfast out. No swapping of gifts. But when DD comes home tonight, I will have a special brekkie up my sleeve to spoil her with tomorrow. And by that time all of the VD goodies will be 50% off.
And by the way... I like the conversation hearts AND those Necco wafers. And did you know that this year those conversation hearts aren't available? The company sold recently and the new owners didn't have enough time after they bought the company to make enough for Valentines day? Apparently it takes all year to make enough for one holiday. Such a fun post! We never go overboard. We do a fancy dinner at home with the kids and exchange cards with thoughtful handwritten notes. I don’t like the commercializan of V day but I do think it’s a good reminder to appreciate your loved ones (and sometimes I need a kick in the pants for that).
