GTKY - Turkey Edition

1. What is your favorite part of a holiday meal? Turkey!

2. Will you be watching any football this week? Not usually, but I'm pretty sure the Ohio State/Michigan game is this weekend and since that's a HUGE deal here, we'll watch some of it I'm sure.

3. Do you go all out if you are celebrating holidays in your home or do you keep things low key? All out! I have little kids and it's super hard to not go crazy for them, LOL! The girls are obsessed with Christmas and I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year, so it's very festive!

4. Do you like cranberry sauce? I don't like cooked fruit in any form, so nope.

5. Have you decorated for Christmas yet? Yes, BUT...we usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to put up Christmas decorations. But I order a huge wreath for the front of the house from the local Boy Scouts and it came this week and I had my hubby put it up right away because I was so excited about it, lol!! My house looks totally funny because I have a Christmas wreath and a bow on my light pole, but I have pumpkins and my fall decorations on the porch still, lol!

6. Are you going out shopping for Black Friday and, if so, what are the things you're looking to score? I will be working on Black Friday (usually, I'm the person behind the Electronics register, passing out the Xboxes and Wiis...but this year I'll be at the front register explaining why your stuff isn't ringing up right, lol. We have like 6 sales in one ad...I'm so not excited!) I am hoping that I'll be able to snag Skylanders for Wii online though. Not holding my breath.

1. What is your favorite part of a holiday meal? dessert for sure!
2. Will you be watching any football this week? no football season finished in September
3. Do you go all out if you are celebrating holidays in your home or do you keep things low key? all out!
4. Do you like cranberry sauce? yep!
5. Have you decorated for Christmas yet? nope, usually the first weekend of December is when I start dragging it all out
6. Are you going out shopping for Black Friday and, if so, what are the things you're looking to score? alas no black friday sales here:(

1. What is your favorite part of a holiday meal? - stuffing
2. Will you be watching any football this week? - nope
3. Do you go all out if you are celebrating holidays in your home or do you keep things low key? - low key
4. Do you like cranberry sauce? - love it
5. Have you decorated for Christmas yet? - no
6. Are you going out shopping for Black Friday and, if so, what are the things you're looking to score? - just scrappy things from the comfort of my home

1. What is your favorite part of a holiday meal? I love it all together and I don't think any one part of it is as good without the whole of it. My sister and my daughter love my stuffing, but I only make it once a year, so they are super excited.
2. Will you be watching any football this week? Not if I can help it.
3. Do you go all out if you are celebrating holidays in your home or do you keep things low key? We never celebrate in our home. Ever. Always go somewhere. This year we're going to my inlaws on Thanksgiving Day and then having a celebration with my family on Saturday (my mom is a physician's assistant and has to work Thursday and Friday).
4. Do you like cranberry sauce? Nope.
5. Have you decorated for Christmas yet? Yes. Tree is up and that's about it. Very minimal decorating this year.
6. Are you going out shopping for Black Friday and, if so, what are the things you're looking to score? Well, I was hoping to get a Kindle Fire for my mom but today I saw that Best Buy online has them for $99 (last year's version) so I grabbed one. All I need is something for my dad and I'm done shopping. I may do some digital shopping and check out what Bath and Body Works has online but we'll be where my parents live and the biggest store there is Dollar General, so no actual Black Friday shopping. Just cyber shopping.

1. What is your favorite part of a holiday meal?
Pumpkin Pie
2. Will you be watching any football this week?
Most likely.
3. Do you go all out if you are celebrating holidays in your home or do you keep things low key?
Low key. I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year (there will be a total of 17! of us)...not a single decoration and we're potlucking it..I'm just hoping to get the bathrooms cleaned and the floors vacuumed. I've been feeling low key as well. :(
4. Do you like cranberry sauce?
Nope
5. Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
We never decorate until December. Ever. DH always wants to wait until the week of Christmas, when I grew up we started decorating December. 1st. We compromise now and usually decorate somewhere around the 2nd week of December.
6. Are you going out shopping for Black Friday and, if so, what are the things you're looking to score?
Not a chance. I might do some online shopping though.

2. Will you be watching any football this week?
Not purposely, but I'm sure it will be on at my ILs' and parents' houses. I'm still upset abt the Broncos upset last week. :thumbsdowns

3. Do you go all out if you are celebrating holidays in your home or do you keep things low key?
We don't have any family celebrations at my house.

4. Do you like cranberry sauce?
Only the can kind with the ridges! Ha! My mom puts it on the table every year, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who eats it. :beat

5. Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
Nope. That's what the day after Thanksgiving is for!

6. Are you going out shopping for Black Friday and, if so, what are the things you're looking to score?
No, no, no, no, no. See above. There is no deal good enough to warrant being out in the middle of that cray-cray.

1. What is your favorite part of a holiday meal? Traditional foods from childhood and homemade Pumpkin Pie
2. Will you be watching any football this week? Absolutely... Go Cowboys!! [Love spending that time watching with my husband!!]
3. Do you go all out if you are celebrating holidays in your home or do you keep things low key? Low Key
4. Do you like cranberry sauce? yes... Jellied only
5. Have you decorated for Christmas yet? no... usually the weekend after Thanksgiving we put up the tree
6. Are you going out shopping for Black Friday and, if so, what are the things you're looking to score? No shopping as we do not exchange since we buy what we want all year when we need something. For me Christmas is the tree, the cards, the music, the movies and the memories. We don't have kids so the rest is not necessary.

1. What is your favorite part of a holiday meal? When we are at my mom's it is always preparing. We have so much fun goofing when we are together. It's always a gab session with cousins and lots of silliness. Oh and the eating part too!
2. Will you be watching any football this week? Nah. Though it may be on in a back room somewhere at mom's.
3. Do you go all out if you are celebrating holidays in your home or do you keep things low key? When I am hosting I tend to go over the top. When we are at my mom's it's still a special time, but on the low key side.
4. Do you like cranberry sauce? Not a fan of the sauce.
5. Have you decorated for Christmas yet? The trees will go up and be decorated once we get back home. Prob Dec 2nd.
6. Are you going out shopping for Black Friday and, if so, what are the things you're looking to score? Ummm, no way! I learned long ago that fighting the crowds for hours at a time to save $50 was not worth it!!
