Lately, cooking has been topping the list of my least favorite chores, so almost any meal I don't have to cook is a relief. :giggle But it has been a while since I had something that I'd consider 'great.'

What was the last good/great meal you had that you didn't have to cook yourself?

Montreal is definitely a foodie place, but with certain limitations, i.e. While you can find several Ethiopian restaurants, finding authentic good Mexican is near impossible. I found a listing for a little family run hole in the wall, two metro stops away from work. My co-worker and I went yesterday. Service was a little iffy, but the food was fantastic.

Well, we took my son to Five Guys for dinner last night at his request (more like begging for weeks) to celebrate his birthday. It was delicious! :) I usually get all the topping plus jalapenos and the jalapenos were fantastic last night!

Just last Saturday. Enjoyed Passover at a friend's house and what a meal !!!!! And I didn't have to do a thing but sit back and enjoy it!! I never saw so much food and every bit of it was delicious!!!

We haven't eaten out in awhile (strike), but I think the last time was Chinese a few weeks ago. YUM! :P

Had some chicken nachos at a bar where my husband's old work friends had gathered for a reunion/catch-up. Looking forward to some great burgers at Red Robin on Saturday. We only go on birthdays and we have a two-fer this week.

I had some fast food this week, but that doesn't count I don't think.

While we were house hunting we went to a Japanese Hibachi restaurant. It was a first time experience for the kids. They were worried they were going to HATE it, but it turned out they all LOVED it! The food was delicious, and we had SUCH a great time watching him cook and laughing at his jokes! :)

I don't cook so... every meal DH makes feels like a win to me lol especially cuz he's good at it. I can't remember the best restaurant meal I've had recently, but I can tell you the best app. Nothing fancy, just sweet potato fries with like 4 or 5 homemade sauces to try on them, ranging from spicy to sweet. The fries were cooked to perfection and trying the sauces alone or in combinations was fun and yummy! Plus DH and I were on a date so the food tasted better cuz we could eat it warm instead of taking care of the kids and their meals lol.

In Fort Lauderdale before our cruise we ate at this Cuban restaurant and had the most flavorful steak with rice and plantains. So good!!!!

DH and I :heartlub Indian food. This past Sunday, we stopped at for a lunch buffet at House of India. Their food is always fresh, hot, and oh so yummy. Plus they always have a 2 for 1 coupon for their buffet. Including chai and dessert and the meal it came to a little over $11.00 for the two of us.

I have a ton of fun photos from this type of place to scrap! We used to go for almost everyone's birthday.

Mine is technically Fast Food, but it's a local place, and doesn't feel like fast food. We went to a Taco Joint (Lone Star Taqueria if you watch Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives). I had the carnitas, Nick the pescado (fish) tacos, and we shared a nacho. It was so good! Fresh, and the salsas ranged from a sweet tomatillo that Matthew loved to a super spicy one. We went for lunch yesterday, and I can't wait to go back!

Went to a Thai restaurant a couple of weeks ago - love Thai flavours and this was so very good!
I've never eaten Thai that I'm aware of... unless you count the Thai Peanut Saute at Noodles & Co., which I am obsessed with!! :giggle

Wednesday night, my husband and I went out to dinner while our daughter was in dance (she went late due to a school drama performance and would only be there an hour). We went to this place by her dance studio, Lady Gregory. We go there occasionally, but I always order the same thing. This time I caught a whiff of curry while walking through to our table and decided to try it. Oh my.... it was AMAZING!!! Curry sauce, with shredded roasted chicken, potatoes, sweet potatoes, wild rice, slivered almonds and golden raisins. Kind of already thinking about when we can have this again! :-)

We have an amazing Falafel stand just down the road with delicious hummus and the softest fluffiest pita breads. It's my favorite thing to eat lately. I love to roast up some vegetables and pair it up with the hummus and pita, maybe some dill pickles, and some olives too. So that is my favorite meal lately - half home made.

But for something I didn't have to make at all: the staff of my son's school put together a luncheon for all the people who volunteer at the school. Had some really yummy things there, including lots of desserts!

That sounds amazing!!!!

I rarely cook but roommate does and I buy to stuff. For inspiration, I love to browse food blogs. . . warning, it can get addictive . . . and sometimes find great things there. Usually it is just one dish tho - like a side dish from A Veggie Venture - or a one pot dish from SlowCookerFromScratch. Love the sharing and off to find something to eat, lol.
