Have you ever tried Goober? I remember as a kid I used to LOVE it when my mom would get a jar of Goober. It was a rare treat, as she usually made me the super healthy version of PBJ.

Well, my kids were with me in the grocery a few weeks back, and leave it to Meagan to spot the PBJ striped jar on the shelf. So I got some for her (for nostalgia, of course). They LOVE it! And it is so much faster for making lunches in the morning... one jar, one knife, done.

Soooo.... the other day at the grocery, I spotted Goober Peanutbutter and Chocolate. This is what I'm eating for breakfast as I'm typing... PB & C (:giggle) with apple slices and a piece of cheese. Oh the chocolate is just enough. SO yummy! Just thought I'd share.

LOL! I just saw the title and I totally thought this post would be about boogers :giggle
I never even heard of Goober, but it sounds like a good combo.

LOL!

I saw the title of this thread and worried for a bit that it might be about me! :huh

Anyway, never had Goober and I love PB but not the J so it's not for me.

seriously, you American people (yes! :P) eat so much wierd! :giggle

Gotta agree!! :giggle I've never tried PBJ myself, but I checked out this goober and it does look really convenient to have it all in one jar. :)

Oh my... PB & Choc. Goober! Must get us some! :-)

Wait, what? Did you really mean you've never eaten a PB&J???

I've never had the Goober thing, but I have seen it. Maybe I should get it for my boys. They would probably think it was pretty cool, especially since they are known to go make their own sandwiches sometimes on the weekends.

I thought this was going to be a story of some gooberish thing you did. LOL

amanda that's so funny, i was just listening to a story on the radio about vegimite the other day and i had no idea what it was. the radio people just said, 'it's some weird goopy food that apparently australians think is ten times better than peanutbutter.' :giggle apparently they were a little right in saying so. i'll have to go look it up.

I bought a jar of vegimite for my son for Christmas (in his stocking). I bought it at World Market. I really thought he'd like it since he loves toast with butter and nutritional yeast (he eats the nutritional yeast on a lot of things actually), but he said it was nasty. It looked like the real thing...from Australia and all. I smelled it...that's the closest I got.

As for Goober...I've never tried it. I think it's grape jelly though and I don't think we ever did grape jelly at home. We always had homemade jams and jelly's. The pb&c sounds mighty tasty though!!

Goober has been around forever! It was always a bit too sweet for my taste but I always wanted to see how they filled the jars at the factory cause it always looks so cool!
