Just wanted to share my exciting news! It's a touch screen! Can't wait!

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh jumping up in down...well, kinda bouncing in my chair but purty excited for you!

Exciting!! Have fun playing with your new toy!! My last computer was a touch screen and it was a lot of fun!! the kids really liked it too.

Have fun! I totally understand the buzz of getting a new computer

Oh! What did you get? I've been looking ahead to what I want to get next time so I can start saving now. I've been looking at the all-in-one touch screens and would love to know anyone who actually has one give me some feedback!

We are getting a Dell desktop and than opted for the touch screen monitor. Will let you know how it is when I get it. I want to see if I can scrap on the touch screen by dragging things in Photoshop.

I had a Dell all in one touchscreen. It lasted about a year and a half. I did not have it plugged into a surge protector and when the power went out one day it never came back on. The touch screen was fun, mostly for the kids, and a cool feature but it wasn't practical for me. With the screen in a standing position it was just to awkward to use it for long periods of time. to be honest, most of the time I actually forgot that it was even a touch screen. I did love that it was an all-in-one and knew from then on that I would never go back to anything else. My iMac is the same way. The only space it takes up is the screen size (which is pretty massive but awesome). LOVE IT!!

My laptop is a touch screen but I never use touch for scrapping. Or really much at all, but it is occasionally nice for scrolling or some kinds of games. I wouldn't miss it if it weren't there, tbh.

But new comps are always fun! :D

That's exactly what I'm curious about too. Can't wait to hear if you like it! :)

i totally get the excitment and i i just bought a new laptop this week (i've retyped this sentence twice because the keys are slightly further apart than my old laptop and my fingers aren't used to that yet). I hope your out of the box and first few days experience is better than mine.
i purposely opted for NON-touch screen - i bought a touchscreen Asus early/mid 2013 and ended up giving it to the kids - windows 8 freaked me out too much and the screen was so fingerprinty after 'set-up' that i thought i'd never be able to see my pages properly in PS - the screen seemed overly reflective too and after they'd downloaded a few app games, it seemed to be slowed down so much i thought PS would be too painful to use even with 8GB ram and a dedicated graphics thing (it's like 2 nevidea or something?? g force maybe - u can tell i know heaps about that stuff). So this time i figured maybe that wasn't so important and i bought a cheaper model of Acer, still 8GB ram but it had a quad core processor and shared graphics and y'know, it's almost as slow as my 4y.o. Dell that i was so over and so much morefrustrating that i nearly cried and just took it back to the shop this morning. (It keeps 'updating' and wiping my bookmark files i've imported and basically resetting so i'm glad the one layout i did last night i managed to save to my EHD .... how can i permanently tell this new laptop i have admin rights over the EHD i've used for years?! -sending you good luck and taking deep breaths!
