Game On ! Pad Patter 30 Aug

I prefer word games but my daughter loves board games and got several new ones for her birthday last month. My son is a terrible sore loser but getting better at accepting it. We played my son's Pete the Cat game Friday night after dinner, and everyone had a ball.
 
I love to play board games and card games. My mom loved games so we always played games growing up. Mostly Skipbo, phase 10, uno and rummikub. She was a BIG cheat though so you had to be alert or she'd win every time. I think she did it just to see if we'd catch her... hehe I sure do miss her.

We have tons of board games and card games. My hubby doesn't like to play much but he'll indulge me sometimes. My new DIL loves to play games so that's been fun when they are here. This past weekend we played Settlers of Catan, Five Crowns, Rummikub and Cover your Assets. We also love Trouble, Yahtzee, Rack-O, Blokus, Pit, and Wacky Six. I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones we've played recently.
 
Ooohhh...If you haven't tried it, you must play Telestrations!!
It's like Pictionary and the Telephone game in one...you have to write a word, then the next person has to draw it, and the person after has to guess what they drew, then the next person draws it and so on....sooooo funny!!!

This one has come up several times in this thread so it's definitely one I'm going to look in to adding, our normal pictionary really hasn't been off the shelf in years, sounds like it'd be a trade up to try this one instead!

@bcnatty- - That sounds cool!! We need some games. We played a lot of Backgammon when we were newlyweds. Somewhere along the way we lost our set and our Chess set. Need to get all three of these! We DON'T play Monopoly if our son is around- he has won EVERY time for 10 years! LOL!!!!
 
I love board games and card games. My favorite card game is Set, but my mom and brother are the only ones who like to play with me because we are too fast for everyone else.
