Jan having raised four Eagle Scouts (and a current Star Scout) my advice to you is to keep it simple. It doesn't have to be a major production just a nice recognition for your son's hard work. We tend to overdo (myself included) but really the boys don't care about all of that stuff. We really do it for us. I love the t-shirt quilt idea. I have saved a lot of my boy's shirts from Scouts, sports and road trip souvenirs over the years with the plan to one day make them quilts.
