Future 5 - Goals for 2017?

    Happy New Year!!!! Welcome to 2017! We made it!!! :giggle

    Okay, you know I have to do it... what are five goals you have for 2017? They don't have to be resolutions, and no one will hold you to them later (unless you want us to).

    I love knowing what other people have on the horizon and am always inspired by others' goals and passions. Please share.

    I really want to focus on my health this year so my five things are:
    • Eat clean
    • Go to the gym
    • Hike more with a Taz
    • Don't eat after 9 pm
    • Drink more water

    My word for the year is "healthy" in every aspect, here are some of my goals:

    1. Make healthy choices
    2. Stop making excuses
    3. Complain less
    4. Spend more quality time with my kids
    5. Scrap more, or at least have some more "me time" to recharge

    I was gifted the book The Happiness Project for Christmas and I've decided to give it a try.
    I took some from the book for the month of January, and decided on the other ones myself.

    1. Sleep more (aim: 8 hours a night)
    2. Exercise better (start: 10k steps a day)
    3. Declutter (1 minute rule & 10 minute bedtime clean up)
    4. Dedicate time (plan to read, scrap, cook, photography, etc. Don't just spend the day watching Netflix)
    5. Do more (go out, do activities, actually go, do, see)

    Well my word this year is release...I have though about this for a couple years, made some progress in letting go of a lot of physical things but release is just another way of letting a lot of stuff go...attitudes, weight, clutter and anything I find that is unnecessary or unwanted as the year goes by.

    So my OLW is FOCUS, so here are the things that I am focusing on:

    1. My family
    2. My well-being (in all aspects)
    3. Deciding what I want from my career
    4. Doing the job at hand, not whatever needs to be done
    5. Routine

    1) Be more organised (set time limits on task don't waste time doing nothing)
    2) More time for me (dedicate more time to reading, my blog, scrapping)
    3) Be more efficient with money (save more and clear some debts)
    4) Get in shape (not overweight but need to get toned, drink less coffee and more water)
    5) Do more (go to more shows, the movies, day trips etc)

    I got that book, too, and giving it a go. :)

    In 2017 I want to
    Grow closer to Jesus.
    Be thankful for something everyday - no matter what life throws at me.
    Write more.
    Read more.
    and the lovely E word...Exercise.

    Stop losing so much time "browsing".... Being intentional with my time.

    Thise are just some. I have many written down for different areas of my life. :)

    My goals are very specific and are what may keep me from completing MOC5.

    1. Get my house ready to sell.
    2. Sell my house.
    3. Move across the country and buy a new house.
    4. Help my daughter choose the right college and pay for it.
    5. Build my own business.

    - Cook more healthy meals
    - Get back into a regular routine (I have a 6 month old so life is just starting to feel somewhat normal again)
    - Appreciate the little everyday moments
    - Get moving more! (at least 1 hour 3 times a week on the exercise bike or walking)
    - Read more books

    I love January 1 with the fresh start for new goals. My OLW this year is LIGHT.

    1. Use meal planning to eat more healthy.
    2. Drink more water.
    3. Complete 365 photo project.
    4. Pay off credit card.
    5. Smile more. Laugh more. Live lighter. Create adventures with my family. Travel. Don't yell at my kids. Eliminate stuff. Get outside. Get off the computer / phone / iPad. Look at the sunrises & sunsets. Choose joy. Be happy.
