Tomorrow is Julia's snack day at preschool. I was trying to come up with something better than a Rice Krispies Snowman. I have too many things to do to tackle a Bakerella project today. LOL. So, fast and still cute would be great! Any ideas?
If you want something she can help with...crush a packet of biscuits (cookies), mix with a tin of condensed milk, roll in balls and then in sprinkles. Slightly sickly but kids love them and love to make them! You could add lollipop sticks to make them more fun (love Bakerella!) I have to make something for next week and am thinking of doing cake balls. But they need to be slightly healthy so I was going to try banana cake!
You could make snowman with ritz crackers, cream cheese, raisins for eyes, candy corn for a nose... Here are some other ideas... http://familyfun.go.com/christmas/christmas-recipes/christmas-appetizers-snacks/
Oh I like that Lisa I'm one of those moms that would just go to Safeway and buy some predecorated Christmas cookies.
nutter butters dipped in white almond bark with mini choc chip eyes and buttons and licorice for a scarf make really cute snowmen
I'm going to have to watch this thread - you ladies could make me a way cooler mom in the snack department - wow!
Kristin - that IS a good point! LOL My DD just loves them. Leslie - awesome idea too, TY! and Tiki!!! LOL
oh I found cute reindeer ones, too! i haven't seen these before.... but here are some of the snowmen... AND if you really want to go all out
OK, love love love the nutter butter snowmen! So much for a healthy snack. LOL These are too cute to pass up!
ok, for eating purposes, rice krispies still can't be beat, but those reindeer are awesome! Leslie, do they say what the eyes are made of? is it just piped frosting or?
the snowmen and santa eyes are mini choc chip, i'm not real sure about the reindeer eyes. i'll go look and see if i can find out.
i like these for a no-dipping-required option: (I just can't ever make myself actually do a project that requires dipping!)
those reindeer cookies are so cute! I don't know what nutter butters are but I assume they have peanuts in them which aren't allowed at our school. Do you guys have to worry about allergies when taking food to school?
we can't do peanuts/peanut butter in our school... my daughter can't do anything with corn syrup or soy so our treats are usually rasins, string cheese and that sort of thing - really bites for the creativity part... too scary????
