Fridges | Pad Patter 1.4.17

We bought a new refrigerator when we moved back into this house (yes, back...it's a long story) in 2009. It has a drawer freezer on the bottom and double doors up top, with ice and water in the door. I love it, but honestly what I REALLY want (and can't have until we build our new home post-residency) is a refrigerator that is JUST a fridge and a freezer that is JUST a freezer. Two separate units. Lots of space. Basically, I want a commercial kitchen. :)
 
We are renting, so we have a basic fridge with the freezer on top. No ice maker or water dispenser. It is a full size fridge though, not one of the skimpy apartment fridges, so a gallon of milk fits in the door. It works. I wish it had a water dispenser, because all winter we have 1 Brita pitcher in the fridge, and in the summer we have 2. Not to mention the Costco bag of ice in my freezer. Sigh.

I miss my black, french door, freezer on the bottom, water dispensing fridge from our house. We ended up leaving it, by request. I had bought it on discount because someone had dinged the finish when they opened it. No big deal to me and my black nail polish!

Yes! At least the water dispenser fridges that me or my family have had have a filter! The trick is quite a few people don't realize it, and don't change it. We only had to change the filter once a year or something.
 
We have a basic side by side with ice/water dispenser. I think it's a Maytag or Whirlpool. We've had it for almost 8 years, and KNOCK ON WOOD, don't plan to buy a new one any time soon. We also have a huge chest freezer, that my husband's grandmother got us a little over 16 years ago. It's been moved a zillion times and again KNOCK ON WOOD, is still working great. My son really wants us to get the Samsung one that can see inside the fridge for you....lol
 
WE had stainless refrigerator with the water/ice in front door for years. It was a beast and just kept going, even though I wanted to replace it so bad! Having 6 children there was marks all on it that I just could not get off and I cleaned it all the time! And the keys that you click for water or ice were broken in from years of use.
We replaced it about 3 years ago. I went to Black double doors on top and freezer on bottom. Water is inside the refrigerator wall. Ice maker is inside the freezer.
Clean and slick for easy cleanup

Someone asked about Filtered water from the Refrigerator I think they all have filters on them. Both of mine did. We also have a whole house filter.

Ours is the slate too, but side by side. I love the finish and get tons of compliments on it!
